Jose Mourinho Next Club Odds: Rangers Early Favourites To Land Special One

Jose Mourinho’s short-lived reign as Fenerbahce manager is over and betting sites are considering where he will end up next.
Mourinho was shown the door after the Turkish club failed to qualify for the group stage of the Champions League following a 1-0 aggregate defeat by Benfica in the play-off round.
Rangers have been installed as the early favourites as the next port of call for the former Manchester United boss, but there are plenty of other possible destinations.
Gambling.com runs the rule over the next Jose Mourinho club odds.
Mourinho Would Relish Gers Job
Russell Martin’s reign as Rangers manager is hanging by a thread after the club missed out on the Champions League group stage with a humiliating 9-1 aggregate defeat by Club Brugge.
Martin was chosen by the club’s American owners in June as the man to challenge Celtic for the title, but Rangers have failed to win any of their first three games.
Fans are already calling for the head of the former Southampton boss, but could Mourinho replace him at Ibrox?
Prior to the second leg of last season’s Europa League round of 16 meeting in Glasgow, Mourinho was asked whether he would like to coach Rangers one day.

He said: "In this moment, no, because I have a job that motivates me and a job that demands loyalty. But why not in the future?
"People can say that the Scottish league is a league of two teams, but it's a league of passion. And for me, passion in football is everything.”
Now he is available, the Rangers board may turn to ‘The Special One’, who is 5/4 on football betting sites to help turn the club’s season around.
Potter On Borrowed Time
West Ham boss Graham Potter is another manager who could soon find himself out of work.
The Hammers have made a terrible start to the season, losing their first two games to sit bottom of the Premier League table - and they are out of the Carabao Cup.
The £38million signing of midfielder Mateus Fernandes from Southampton will help West Ham’s cause, but if results do not improve, Potter could soon be heading for the exit.
Mourinho has previously managed Chelsea (twice) and Tottenham, and is 6/4 on betting apps to add another London club to his collection.
Farke Could Start To Feel The Heat
Daniel Farke led Leeds back to the Premier League last season, but speculation surrounding his position continued to dominate the back pages.
Chairman Paraag Marathe eventually clarified that Farke would be in charge for the new campaign, insisting the German was “my man”.
The Whites got off to a great start with a 1-0 victory over Everton, only to be turned over by Arsenal in a 5-0 defeat in their following game.
However, Farke was forced to apologise to Leeds fans following their Carabao Cup exit at the hands of a youthful Sheffield Wednesday team, saying “we feel embarrassed”.
Farke was unable to keep Norwich in the Premier League on both occasions they were promoted to the Championship and Leeds fans will be wary of that statistic.
Mourinho once said he would be willing to take over a Premier League club towards the foot of the table so he did not have to deal with UEFA referees, so United fit the bill in that sense.
Farke is likely to be given more time to make amends for their humiliating League Cup defeat at Hillsborough, but, if not, Mourinho is waiting in the wings at 2/1.
Forest Fall-Out Could Lead To Jose
Nuno Espirito Santo seemed to be on the brink of the axe after revealing his relationship with Nottingham Forest owner Evangelos Marinakis had “changed” and they are “not as close”.
The Portuguese appears to have a strained relationship with Edu, the club’s global head of football, on transfer issues.
When asked whether he would walk away from the City Ground job, Nuno said: “It is absurd. Never.”
There appears to be a temporary truce between all the parties for now, but should Nuno be given his cards, Mourinho looks a potentially interesting replacement at 5/2.
Wolves Could Pounce
Wolves, like West Ham, are without a point after two games, although they remain in the Carabao Cup after former Newcastle target Jorgen Strand Larsen stepped off the bench to score twice in a 3-2 victory over the Hammers.
Vitor Pereira engineered a remarkable recovery to keep Wolves in the Premier League and will be given time to fire the club up the table, but Mourinho is 3/1 to end up at Molineux.
Eyebrows were raised when Brentford appointed Keith Andrews as Thomas Frank’s replacement, but a 1-0 win against Aston Villa has appeased fans disappointed by the sales of Bryan Mbeumo to Manchester United and Christian Norgaard to Arsenal.
With Yoane Wissa also possibly leaving the club for Newcastle, Andrews could soon find himself under pressure if results take a turn for the worse.
Mourinho is 9/2 to end up in west London.
Red Devils Return?
Ruben Amorim is having a torrid time as Manchester United head coach, so could Mourinho make a dramatic return to Old Trafford?
Mourinho won the Europa League and League Cup with the Red Devils in the 2016/17 season when they also finished a distant second to local rivals City in the Premier League.
United fans can only dream about such success now following their Carabao Cup humiliation at Grimsby and with Amorim under huge pressure to improve results, Mourinho could make a stunning return at 6/1.
Elsewhere, Burnley are priced at 8/1 and Celtic 12/1 following the failure of Brendan Rodgers’ side to beat Kazakh outfit Kairat in the Champions League play-off round.
