Jose Mourinho Next Club Odds: Hammers Head The Market

Jose Mourinho is on the lookout for a new challenge, and betting sites believe a return to the Premier League could be on the cards for the 'Special One'.
The Portuguese coach’s short tenure at Fenerbahce ended abruptly after the Turkish side failed to reach the Champions League group stage, losing 1-0 on aggregate to Benfica in the play-off.
Now, West Ham have moved to the top of the market to appoint the enigmatic manager as the pressure continues to grow on Graham Potter.
A sensational return to Manchester United has also been mooted, and interest has also come from Scotland, Germany and Saudi Arabia.
Below, Gambling.com examines the latest odds on Mourinho’s next club.

Potter Feeling The Pressure
Graham Potter finds himself under mounting pressure at West Ham after a poor start to the season.
Back-to-back league defeats left the Hammers bottom of the table, and a Carabao Cup exit to Wolves added to the frustration.
A convincing 3-0 victory at Nottingham Forest, highlighted by a debut for £38million signing Matheus Fernandes, offered some relief.
Further signings, Soungoutou Magassa and Igor Julio, have lifted spirits, but the mood at the London Stadium could quickly turn if results falter again.
Should that happen, Mourinho is 4/1 with betting apps to return to the capital for a fourth time, having already taken charge at Chelsea (twice) and Tottenham.

Old Firm Battle Could Be Tempting
Whether in Milan, Madrid or Manchester, Mourinho has experienced some of the biggest derbies in European football.
The Old Firm rivalry is one he has yet to taste, but that could be about to change if Rangers decide to change manager.
Russell Martin is under intense pressure following a humiliating 9-1 aggregate loss to Club Brugge in August that ended their Champions League ambitions.
Brought in by the club’s American owners in June to mount a serious challenge to Celtic, he has failed to register a win in four matches, with a drab goalless Old Firm derby deepening the frustration.
With supporters already calling for change, football betting sites make Mourinho 5/1 to take the Ibrox job.
Leverkusen Looking For Ten Hag Replacement
Bayer Leverkusen are the latest club to show interest in hiring Mourinho.
The German club are looking for a new boss after Erik ten Hag's surprise sacking just two games into the season.
The Bundesliga has never experienced the drama that comes with Mourinho, and he could be interested in testing himself in German football.
Leverkusen are 5/1 to make the Portuguese their new boss.
Wolves Would Be Big Challenge
Mourinho has said in the past that he would like to challenge himself by taking over a lower-level team.
He would certainly get a test if he were to take over at Wolves, who have made a dreadful start to the season.
Manager Vitor Pereira is under pressure, having lost the first three games, and the board might be ready to make a change.
Mourinho is 5/1 to give himself a big test at Molineux.
Saudi Money Might Just Talk
Back in March, Spanish newspaper Marca reported that Mourinho could be offered £140m to take charge of the Saudi Arabian national team as a possible replacement for Herve Renard.
The same publication then suggested he could potentially replace Rudi Garcia at Cristiano Ronaldo’s Al-Nassr when he departed for Belgium.
In January 2024, Mourinho rejected an offer from Saudi Pro League side Al-Shabab to become their manager, but a similar approach now may prove too tempting for the out-of-work coach.
He is currently 6/1 to take his next job in Saudi Arabia.
Portugual Post Could Be Tempting
With the 2026 World Cup on the horizon, some Portugal fans are dreaming of a Mourinho–Cristiano Ronaldo partnership to lead the nation to glory.
In March, while working in Turkey, Mourinho dismissed reports that he had spoken with the Portuguese Football Federation about the role.
Despite Roberto Martinez being under contract until after the tournament, Mourinho’s availability ensures speculation persists.
He is currently 12/1 to make the national team job his next position.
Farke Could Feel The Heat
Daniel Farke guided Leeds back to the Premier League last season, but doubts over his future quickly surfaced.
Chairman Paraag Marathe backed him publicly, and Leeds opened with a win over Everton before a heavy 5-0 defeat to Arsenal.
A Carabao Cup exit to Sheffield Wednesday left Farke apologising to fans, followed by a goalless draw with Newcastle.
His struggles to keep Norwich up in past campaigns still fuel doubts, and with Mourinho available at 14/1, pressure could mount if results falter.
MLS Provides New Challenge
If Mourinho believes he has achieved all he can in Europe, Major League Soccer could be his next step.
Having already expressed interest in the United States, a move would fit his “box-office” persona.
MLS has welcomed star players, but Mourinho would be a headline addition in the dugout and there would surely be plenty of clubs willing to pay him top dollar.
He is 14/1 to make the move stateside next.
Red Devils Return On The Cards?
Ruben Amorim is enduring a difficult spell as Manchester United head coach, raising questions over whether Mourinho could make a sensational return to Old Trafford.
During his previous tenure, Mourinho guided United to Europa League and League Cup triumphs in 2016/17, before finishing second behind Manchester City the following season.
Such achievements feel distant for supporters now, with a Carabao Cup humiliation at Grimsby piling pressure on Amorim and fuelling speculation that Mourinho could be tempted back.
Mourinho is 25/1 for a shock return to Manchester United with Bet365.
Other Premier League Clubs In The Mix
Burnley (10/1) and Fulham (12/1) are other Premier League options for Mourinho if they decide to make a change in the dugout.
Both clubs have made decent starts to the season, but if results take a turn, appointing a boss of Mourinho's pedigree would be a no-brainer.
Elsewhere, England have made a strong start under Thomas Tuchel, but his cautious and pragmatic style has not won universal approval.
Mourinho has been linked to the job in the past, and is 20/1 to take over the Three Lions.
