The Strictly Come Dancing 2025 final is nearly upon us, and it appears to be a two-horse race on betting sites

Three celebrities, former Love Island star Amber Davies, content creator George Clarke and ex-footballer Karen Carney, made the finale after their heroics on the dance floor last weekend.

Sadly for EastEnders star Balvinder Sopal, she departed on Sunday night.

Bal had made Strictly history earlier in the BBC Latin and ballroom competition after winning five dance-offs for the first time ever.

However, it was sixth time unlucky for Sopal, and she said "so long" to her fellow Strictly stars.

She said afterwards: "I’ve absolutely adored every single minute."

Carney's Top Score

Karen has been favourite with most entertainment betting sites to clinch this year's Glitterball Trophy for a couple of weeks now, but she suffered a quarter-final own goal when she finished bottom of the leaderboard.

However, the former England women's footballer picked the perfect time to top the leaderboard for just a second time this season, after doing so in last weekend's semi-final.

Carney scored 39 points apiece for her two semi-final dances, giving her a table-topping score of 78 out of 80.

Karen's waltz left judge Anton Du Beke an "emotional wreck", and her sensational Salsa also impressed the panellists.

Motsi Mabuse told her: "I wish I could jump and join you," and head judge Shirley Ballas praised her "grit" and "determination".

While Craig Revel Horwood denied Carney - who topped the leaderboard in Week 1 - a perfect score, by giving her nine points for both performances, he described the ex-Lioness' Salsa as "out of this world".

Karen is now 3/5 with Unibet to win this year's Strictly Come Dancing, and 4/7 with several other UK bookmakers.

Clarke Closes In

Content creator George isn't too far behind, at 11/8 on betting apps.

Clarke was favourite to win the Glitterball Trophy for most of the series, but Karen recently knocked him off top spot.

The pair look likely to head into the final as the two favourites to triumph, and it wouldn't be a huge surprise if George regained his lead at the top of the market before Saturday's showpiece.

YouTuber Clarke scored 35 points for his vibrant Samba dance last Saturday night, but Craig admitted it "lacked" in technique at times.

However, he concluded George's dance was a "real crowd pleaser".

George improved for his second dance, amassing 37 points for his Charleston.

While Craig criticised once again, saying it was "a bit heavy-footed", Anton insisted it was among George's top dances in the competition.

The Strictly judge said: "It was the most incredible thing. This dance was you, and the best of you."

Outsider Amber

George will need to be on his A-game if he is to defeat Karen on Saturday night - but there are three stars in the finale.

Former Love Island winner Amber - who was a late replacement in the contest for injured star Dani Dyer - has topped the leaderboard three times throughout the series, and she also top-scored when the week one and two totals were combined.

Despite making the final three, Amber finds herself as a 50/1 outsider with BetMGM to lift the Glitterball Trophy aloft on Saturday night.

Despite thoroughly impressing the judges with her dance ability throughout the tournament, she has been in the dreaded dance-off on three occasions - including the last two weeks - and Strictly viewers simply haven't warmed to her.

It may have something to do with her West End dancing experience, which some fans believe gives her an unfair advantage over other celebrities.

Whatever the reason, Davies hasn't had the votes to match her performances, and her chances of Strictly victory look slim ahead of Saturday night's final.

I could see YouTuber George Clarke being the dark horse and taking home the top prize.
