Next West Brom Manager Odds: Mason Favourite To Be Baggies Boss

West Brom have held talks with Ryan Mason about becoming their next manager.
According to the best betting sites, Mason had been the favourite for the vacancy for a few days.
The Baggies are without a permanent boss following Tony Mowbray's departure in April, when James Morrison was placed in interim charge for the final two matches of the season and did a pretty good job.
Queens Park Rangers manager Marti Cifuentes had been linked with the role, but Mason, who helped Spurs claim their first trophy in 17 years with victory over Manchester United in the Europa League final, has now emerged as favourite.
Here, we look at who could take over at The Hawthorns in the summer.
Mason A Top Target For Baggies
Mason was not in the conversation when Mowbray was shown the door following the 3-1 home defeat to Derby on Easter Monday.
However, the Tottenham man is now the 1/2 favourite with betting apps to take his first permanent managerial role.
Mason has twice been placed in temporary charge at Spurs. The first was three years ago, when he became the youngest Premier League manager at the age of 29 by taking over from the sacked Jose Mourinho.
Almost exactly two years after his first appointment at Tottenham, Mason was at the helm again following Antonio Conte’s exit and Cristian Stellini’s departure a month later.
He has been assistant to Ange Postecoglou ever since.

Ramsay A Surprise Candidate
West Brom have been known to play it safe when appointing new managers, preferring to hire established coaches with proven experience.
That may be about to change this summer, as the relatively unknown Eric Ramsay (6/4) is in the running for the job.
The Welshman has been a coach at Manchester United, Chelsea and the Wales national team.
At 33, Ramsay is a talented young coach and has caught the eye in his first managerial role with Minnesota United.
His exploits have now attracted the attention of English clubs, and West Brom may be ready to tap into his potential.
Morrison Impressed In Temporary Stint
Morrison was placed in charge of the Baggies for the remainder of the season after Mowbray's exit.
The former midfielder, who made over 300 appearances for West Brom, knows the club well and was given the chance to impress the board.
He couldn't have done much more, overseeing a 0-0 draw with Cardiff and an entertaining 5-3 win over Luton.
Morrison was recently as big as 33/1 on football betting sites to fill the vacancy at The Hawthorns, but has since been backed into the 10/1 third favourite.
Cifuentes Out Of The Running?
There had been a lot of support for Cifuentes since Mowbray's exit.
The QPR boss was thought to have held talks with the Baggies, but reports now suggest that he is not among the leading candidates for the role.
The Spaniard, who has been placed on 'gardening leave', has done a fine job in keeping the Rs in the Championship over the past two seasons, and his style of football has caught the attention of many.
He is likely to leave the London club in the summer, but his odds of becoming the next West Brom manager have drifted to 16/1.
Martin Still A Wanted Man
Despite his awful performances with Southampton in their humiliating Premier League campaign, Russell Martin is still a wanted man.
According to bookmakers, he is in the running for several jobs, and West Brom are the latest club on the list.
He has done enough during his time with Swansea, MK Dons and his early days at Southampton to still have admirers.
Martin is priced at 16/1 to join the Baggies.

Mousinho To Leave Pompey?
John Mousinho has recently entered the market to be the next West Brom manager.
The 39-year-old has impressed in his spell in charge of Portsmouth, this being his first full-time position.
He led the club to promotion to the Championship last season and managed to avoid relegation in this campaign.
The former Burton Albion and Oxford United player is 16/1 to take over at The Hawthorns.
Selles And Cooper Among Chasing Pack
Ruben Selles was relieved of his duties by Hull at the end of the season despite keeping the Tigers in the Championship.
Goal difference was the deciding factor as City stayed up at the expense of Luton.
Selles won't be out of a job for long and the ex-Reading manager is 25/1 to be the next West Brom boss.
Also at 25/1 is former Nottingham Forest and Leicester manager Steve Cooper, while Wayne Rooney can be backed at 33/1.
