Next West Brom Manager Odds: Mowbray Favourite For Baggies Return

Championship play-off hopefuls West Brom are still searching for a new manager after Carlos Corberan left the club to join Valencia on Christmas Day, and betting sites are offering odds on his replacement.
The Spanish strugglers paid the exit clause of the former Huddersfield boss, who signed a deal until the end of the 2026/27 season.
Corberan explained that the decision to leave The Hawthorns for his hometown club was the “hardest” decision of his life, but attention now turns to potential replacements.
Albion appeared to be set to appoint former Basel and Young Boys coach Raphael Wicky in recent days.

Who will end up leading the Baggies’ bid to return to the Premier League in the coming days and weeks?
Gambling.com takes look at the leading candidates and the latest next West Brom manager odds.
Mowbray The Man?
Tony Mowbray could now be back in contention to become the new West Brom manager after he took a break from the game due to ill health.
The 61-year-old, who led Albion to the Championship title and an FA Cup semi-final back in 2008, has been out of the game after being diagnosed with bowel cancer last year.
Mowbray left Albion in 2009 to join Celtic, before going on to manage Coventry, Blackburn, Middlesbrough and Sunderland.
After a brief stint at Birmingham City, he resigned in May and has been without a job since, but is now 3/1 favourite to return to The Hawthorns according to BetVictor.

Dyche Looking For Immediate Return
Sacked by Everton just last week, Sean Dyche might find himself in a new job sooner rather than later.
Appointed in January 2023, he steered the Toffees to safety in his first season, despite a difficult campaign and off-field financial issues.
However, this season saw a decline in form, with Everton winning just one of their last 11 games and struggling to find the net consistently.
The 53-year-old departed Goodison Park just hours before the Blues' FA Cup tie with Peterborough, but is now the 3/1 second-favourite to be the Baggies' next boss.
Schumacher Has Options
Steven Schumacher led Plymouth to the League One title in 2022/23 with 101 points and was recently linked with a return to Home Park following Wayne Rooney’s departure.
However, Schumacher has now emerged as a potential candidate for the West Brom job and is 5/1 to replace Corberan.
Schumacher spent nine months at Stoke, but was sacked five games into the current season after two wins and three losses – a decision he found perplexing.
The Liverpudlian could have a couple of choices to make if the odds are to be believed, but which club will he pick?
Baggies Could Land Hake
Rene Hake was last seen as an assistant coach to Erik ten Hag at Manchester United, but left just three months into the job when the Dutchman was sacked in October.
Sports journalist Fabrizio Romano claims that Hake has already held talks with the Baggies and is one of three candidates on the shortlist.
Hake has coached Dutch clubs Twente, Utrecht and Go Ahead Eagles, but could he now get the chance to lead his first club in England?
The 53-year-old is currently 6/1 with football betting sites to fill the vacancy at The Hawthorns.
Could Fischer Be New King Of Albion?
Urs Fischer has also never coached in England, but most recently he spent a lengthy spell with Union Berlin, the club he led to a first ever promotion to the top tier in the Bundesliga in his debut season.
The Swiss went on to spend five seasons with the German side but was sacked in November 2023 after a poor start to the campaign.
Fischer won back-to-back Swiss Super League titles with Basel before moving to Germany, so he has a successful CV.
The former Zurich coach is 14/1 in the next West Brom manager odds.
Cooper Waiting In The Wings
Steve Cooper lasted just 12 games as Leicester manager, but it should be remembered that he led Nottingham Forest to the Premier League with a remarkable run of form.
Forest were propping up the Championship table with four points from eight games at the start of the 2021/22 season, but eight months later they beat Huddersfield in the play-off final.
Albion's board would surely prefer to focus on this stunning success at the City Ground rather than the fact he was sacked by Forest at the end of 2023 following five defeats in his last six Premier League games.
Cooper is now 14/1 to embark on another promotion push, this time in the West Midlands.
Eustace ‘Would Welcome West Brom Move’
Blackburn manager John Eustace (25/1) is one of the names in the frame for the West Brom job and reportedly “would welcome” an approach from the West Midlands club.
BBC journalist Chris Lepkowski revealed “there has been some form of dialogue” between the parties and that Eustace would “react positively” should the club make a formal approach.
Eustace still lives in the area having inexplicably been sacked by Birmingham when they were in sixth place in October 2023, making the disastrous decision to appoint Wayne Rooney as his replacement.
Tudor An Outsider Along With Marsch, Terry And O'Shea
Croatian coach Igor Tudor (25/1) has managed Galatasaray, Udinese, Hajduk Split and Marseille and is next on the West Brom manager odds list.
Appointed Lazio coach in March last year as Maurizio Sarri's replacement, he resigned after the season, reportedly due to disagreements with the sporting director over summer transfers and is now looking for his next challenge.
Other names in contention include former Leeds manager Jesse Marsch, who is 33/1, while former Premier League stars John Terry and John O'Shea are both the same price to make their managerial bows at West Brom.
