Next West Brom Manager Odds: Former Baggies Boss Co-Favourite To Replace Ramsay

West Brom are looking for their fourth coach in 14 months after Eric Ramsay was sacked following a 1-1 draw with Charlton.
The former Minnesota United coach failed to oversee any victories in eight Championship games since his appointment on January 11.
The Baggies were 18th in the table when Ramsay took the reins, but they would be inside the relegation zone had Leicester not been deducted six points.
First-team coach James Morrison has been placed in temporary charge and is the joint-favourite on betting sites to be named permanent manager.
With just 12 games to go before the end of the season, we take a look at the main candidates to keep West Brom in the Championship.
Next West Brom Manager Odds: Opportunity Knocks For Morrison
Morrison has been named interim manager of the Baggies for the third time in 10 months and is the 2/1 co-favourite to get the job on a permanent basis.
The former Scotland international first took over in April 2025 when Tony Mowbray was sacked and then again in January when Ryan Mason was shown the door, but has been given the chance to save West Brom’s season once more.
Morrison won one and drew two of his three games in temporary charge, so he remains unbeaten ahead of Saturday’s trip to relegation rivals Oxford.
Victory at the weekend would put the Baggies legend in the driving seat to stay at the helm without the need to find a replacement for Ramsay, but he faces a challenge from Moore.

Michael Skubala | 14/1 | 6.7% |

David Wagner | 20/1 | 4.8% |
Moore In The Frame For Baggies Return
Darren Moore was 20/1 earlier in the week for a return to West Brom where he started his managerial career, but those odds have since been slashed dramatically to 2/1.
The former defender spent around four and a half years as a player at The Hawthorns between 2001 and 2006, and 12 years later he was named permanent manager after a successful spell as caretaker as a replacement for Alan Pardew.
The Jamaican, 51, was unable to keep the Baggies in the Premier League and was surprisingly sacked in the following season with 10 games remaining despite the club sitting fourth in the Championship table and with a good chance of automatic promotion.
Since then, he has led Sheffield Wednesday and Port Vale to promotion in the last few years, but is available for work after being dismissed by the Valiants just after Christmas.
Martin Available To Help Save Baggies
Russell Martin knows the Championship well and is the 8/1 third favourite on one of the betting apps to be appointed West Brom boss.
Martin led Southampton to the Premier League via the play-offs in the 2023/24 season, although his spell in the top flight ended in his dismissal in December 2024.
Although the Scot had a disastrous spell in charge of Glasgow giants Rangers, it should not be forgotten that Martin did well during spells in charge of MK Dons and Championship club Swansea.
Martin has been without a job since leaving Ibrox and his reputation would be further sullied were West Brom to go down under his leadership, so taking on the role would be a risky move.

Dyche To The Rescue?
Despite twice leading Burnley to the Premier League during a 10-year spell at Turf Moor, Sean Dyche is developing a reputation as a firefighter.
When Dyche was sacked by the Clarets in April 2022, he later took charge of an Everton team rooted to the foot of the table in January 2023 as a replacement for Frank Lampard.
Against all the odds, Dyche kept the Toffees up on the final day of the season thanks to a 1-0 victory over Bournemouth.
Despite a 40% win rate in 25 games in charge of his next club, Nottingham Forest, Dyche was axed in February.
Dyche is available at 10/1 to come to the rescue in West Brom’s hour of need.
Bilic Back For Second Baggies Spell?
Slaven Bilic spent just one full season as West Brom manager, but it was a memorable one.
The former West Ham and Everton defender led the Baggies to automatic promotion from the Championship with a runners-up spot behind Leeds in the 2019/20 campaign.
The Croatian was shown the door in December in the same year, since when he has had short-lived spells in China and Saudi Arabia either side of a spell at Watford, who were ninth in the Championship when he was axed.
Bilic has been out of work since August 2024 when his contract with Saudi Arabian side Al-Fateh was ended by mutual agreement.
He can be backed at 10/1 to return to The Hawthorns.

Carsley Heads Outsiders
England U21 coach Lee Carsley usually appears in the next manager markets when there is an opening at a Midlands club and can be backed at 14/1.
However, Birmingham-born Carsley is unlikely to swap a successful stint within the international set-up for a potentially short relegation battle.
Elsewhere, Lincoln boss Michael Skubala is 14/1, the same price as Will Still, most recently in charge of Southampton.
Former Norwich manager David Wagner and ex-Leicester boss Ruud van Nistelrooy are both priced at 20/1.
