Next West Brom Manager Odds: Carsley Favourite For Baggies Post

West Brom are searching for a new manager after Ryan Mason was dismissed on Tuesday, and some of the best betting sites have drawn up a list of candidates.
The axe fell on the former Tottenham midfielder after Leicester consigned them to a 10th successive away defeat in the Championship.
That result left West Brom 18th in the table, closer in terms of both places and points to the bottom three than the play-offs.
Given that West Brom began the campaign with promotion ambitions, it is no surprise that Mason was given his marching orders, and attention now turns to who will replace him.
The Hawthorns hierarchy will likely want someone in quickly to revive West Brom’s season, particularly with the transfer window now open.
Below, we look at the candidates in the running for the job and the best odds available on betting apps to be the next West Brom manager.
Carsley Ready For Club Football?
Lee Carsley has never managed at club level, but his exploits with the England U21s have caught the attention of many clubs.
The former Ireland international has been linked with several teams in the past, and West Brom are also thought to be interested in securing his services.
That is according to most betting sites who have installed Carsley as the 4/1 favourite to be the next Baggies boss.
The West Brom board took a chance on an unproven club manager in Mason, so the question remains if they would do so again with Carsley.
Next West Brom Manager Odds
Manager | Odds | Probability |
Lee Carsley | 4/1 | 20% |
Michael Carrick | 5/1 | 16.7% |
James Morrison | 8/1 | 11.1% |
Russell Martin | 8/1 | 11.1% |
Slaven Bilic | 10/1 | 9.1% |
Carlos Corberan | 10/1 | 9.1% |
Michael Skubala | 14/1 | 6.7% |
Ole Gunnar Solskjaer | 14/1 | 6.7% |
Dave Challinor | 16/1 | 5.9% |
Tony Mowbray | 16/1 | 5.9% |
Jens Berthel Askou | 16/1 | 5.9% |
Brian Barry-Murphy | 16/1 | 5.9% |
Steven Gerrard | 20/1 | 4.8% |
Carrick Awaiting Next Challenge
Michael Carrick is another fancied candidate to replace Mason, with the bookies currently offering 5/1 on the former Middlesbrough manager.
Carrick did a decent job at the Riverside Stadium, but he was relieved of his duties after Boro missed out on the play-offs last term.
Highly rated as a coach at Manchester United, he is also a contender to be the next manager at Old Trafford.
Carrick is also the favourite for the West Ham job should the board decide to part ways with Nuno Espirito Santo.
Still, Carrick would doubtless consider an approach from West Brom, who could yet make the play-offs this term.

Morrison Knows The Club
James Morrison would not struggle to get the West Brom fans on board if he were made their next permanent boss.
The former Baggies midfielder spent 12 years on the books at the club as a player, and has again stepped in as caretaker boss following Mason's exit.
If Morrison can string a few good results together over the coming weeks, it would be brave to bet against him, bearing in mind his odds have already been cut from 12/1 to 8/1.
If the next few games go badly, however, it is hard to see him being handed the reins full-time.
Martin Cut For Championship Return
Russell Martin had a disastrous spell as Rangers manager, but it should not be forgotten he enjoyed great success in the Championship with Southampton.
The former Norwich and Scotland defender led Saints to the Premier League with a play-off final victory over Leeds, although the top flight proved to be a step too far.
Martin has also impressed at both MK Dons and Swansea, so the Football League is something he knows well.
He was 12/1 on Tuesday to get the Baggies gig, but with Strasbourg-bound Gary O'Neil out of the picture those odds have been slashed to 8/1.
Corberan To Come Back?
There is no doubt that Carlos Corberan would be the choice of most West Brom fans, despite his odds drifting from 6/1 to 10/1.
The Spaniard did a wonderful job at The Hawthorns the first time around, taking them from the relegation zone into the play-offs.
Corberan departed for Valencia just over a year ago, but his position there is starting to look precarious.
If he is sacked by the powers that be at the Spanish club, he may seek a return to English football - and West Brom would offer him an emotional reunion.
Out-of-work Slaven Bilic led West Brom into the Premier League in the 2019/20 season and is also 10/1 to fill the Baggies vacancy, although he has been linked with a return to West Ham.
Solskjaer Among Dark Horses
Ole Gunnar Solskjaer and Michael Skubala are both listed at 14/1.
Solskjaer, who was most recently Besiktas boss, may consider a role with an ambitious Championship club, but he has no experience of England’s second tier and he is also the favourite to be appointed Manchester United's caretaker manager following the dismissal of Ruben Amorim.
Skubala, who had a short spell as caretaker manager at Leeds, continues to impress with League One promotion hopefuls Lincoln.

Ex-Baggies Boss Mowbray An Option
Tony Mowbray is one of four contenders available at 16/1, along with Jens Berthel Askou, Brian Barry-Murphy and Dave Challinor.
Mowbray has deep West Brom connections, having managed the club twice before, including a three-month stint last season.
Askou is currently exceeding expectations at SPL side Motherwell, so he may be hard to attract to a struggling Championship club.
The same could be said for Barry-Murphy, who has led Cardiff to the top of the League One table this season.
Challinor enjoyed promotions with Stockport in 2022 and 2024, and a third is potentially on the cards.
At odds of 20/1, Steven Gerrard is unlikely to get the job and will have to wait to give management in England another crack after his disappointing tenure at Aston Villa.
