Oasis Odds: Britpop Band Look Set For 2026 Residency And Festival Appearances

Oasis' epic 41-date reunion tour has come to an end, and talk among fans and on betting sites has now turned to what the band will do next.

Just this week, brothers Liam and Noel Gallagher confirmed they and their fellow Britpop band members will embark on a "period of reflection" following their final Live '25 Tour date in Sao Paulo, Brazil, on Sunday night.

They wrote on Instagram: "And so it came to pass.

"The most damaging pop cultural force in recent British history found its way into the hearts and minds of a new generation.

"From Gallagher Hill to the River Plate, from Croke Park on the banks of the Royal Canal to the City of Angels, the love, joy, tears and euphoria will never be forgotten.

"There will now be a pause for a period of reflection. Oasis."

One future endeavour we do know about is Peaky Blinders creator Steven Knight's behind-the-scenes film of the reunion tour.

The documentary will offer some light relief while Oasis super-fans eagerly await news on the band's next move, but their bucket-hat-clad faithful will be desperate to see their heroes on stage again soon.

While the Wonderwall hitmakers are reflecting on an incredible return to music, there have been several hints that they aren't done yet.

Before closing their final Wembley Stadium gig with Champagne Supernova, Liam hinted there was much more to come from Oasis in 2026.

He told the cheering crowd: "I wanna thank you lot for keeping the faith and putting this band back on the f**king map.

"Champagne Supernova. See you next year!"

The Oasis frontman also tweeted, and then swiftly deleted, a post appearing to be a nod to an announcement this month.

It read: "MMXXV11."

There have been whispers in the entertainment industry that Oasis could be set for a residency at the Etihad Stadium, which is home to their favourite football team, Manchester City.

They are just 6/4 on entertainment betting sites to announce a residency next, and it's 5/2 for them to hit the road again.

Liam has made it clear that he would love to tour with Oasis again - and keep going until the day he dies.

He recently wrote on X: "We need to sit down and discuss these things.

"If it was all up to me, then you know we’d be touring till the day we die, as it’s the best thing in the world, but unfortunately it’s not."

Last month, Liam dropped another huge hint that Oasis will be hitting the road again.

A fan on X asked him: "How the f**k did The Hindu Times not make it on the setlist?"

He replied: "Chill Winston, it’s not even HALF TIME yet it’s a tour of 2 half's (sic)."

Knebworth Return?

That certainly makes it sound like another run of gigs is on the way at some point, but could Oasis also hit the festival circuit in 2026?

They previously ruled out playing at any festivals in 2025, but, following the success of their comeback gigs, they are said to have been inundated with "endless" offers from festivals around the world for 2026.

Oasis are just 13/8 on betting apps to confirm a festival appearance, or more, as their next move.

It's also 5/4 they rock out at between one and three festivals in 2026.

An insider told The Sun: "Festivals in the US like Coachella want Oasis to headline next year, as well as big ones in Europe, including Benicassim.

"Then you have businesses and individuals who want them to perform. The offers are endless."

The lads are 2/1 to play Coachella next, and 5/2 to rock up at Benicassim, but they could decide to repeat history and make a return to Knebworth (15/8) instead.

Liam performed at the Knebworth Festival as a solo act in 2022, and Oasis have a strong connection to the Hertfordshire village.

In 1996, they made history by playing to more than 250,000 fans over two nights at Knebworth - and next year marks the 30th anniversary of those monumental gigs.

Oasis 25 Reunion Tour

Oasis' Greatest Hits

While Oasis look likely to hit the road again at some point, fans are also keen for them to return to the studio.

There has been speculation about a new greatest hits album coming to fruition, and Noel has previously made no secret of his desire for one.

The songwriter was planning to put together a record based on some of the top tunes from the group's four albums from 2000 to 2009 - but Liam blocked the project.

Speaking in 2023, Noel explained: "He [Liam] wouldn’t have it in the end - I don’t know why.

"I gave up f***ing arguing."

However, has Liam changed his mind following the successful reunion?

A source told The Sun: "This tour has gone better than anyone could have imagined.

"Noel and Liam will both be taking a long break to compute the magnitude of this tour.

"They’re aware of what their fans want and know the demand would be there if they did decide to put out a new greatest hits album - or to play more shows."

It's just 2/1 for Oasis to announce a greatest hits album next, and just 15/8 for them to release their reunion tour as a live album.

Bookmakers have it priced at 5/1 for them to head back to the studio to record a brand-new record.

Following their successful comeback, it is almost unthinkable that Oasis will disappear again - but it would be a classic move from the iconic band.

Oasis fans should rest assured, because it's a massive 20/1 for the Don't Go Away hitmakers to announce their retirement next.

Don't Look Back in Anger if they do, though.
