Power Rankings: Hall & Calafiori Justify Their Fees, Ramsdale & Kilman Not So

After an eventful final Merseyside derby at Goodison Park, every Premier League team have 14 matches left to play.
Liverpool remain the odds-on favourite with football betting sites to win their 20th title and second in six seasons.
We thought this would be a good time to look back and see how each team's big summer signing has performed.
Which players have provided the best value for money and who has a lot of work to do in the remainder of the season to improve their rating?
Our power rankings are based on the goals scored and conceded by each team while players have been on the pitch.
Some results might surprise you, others may not.
Hall And Calafiori Are Proving Their Value
For those who read this column every week, you'll know Lewis Hall has been one of the stand-out performers this season.
The defender spent the second half of last season on loan at St James' Park from Chelsea, and his performance for the Toon persuaded the Magpies to pay the Stamford Bridge club £28m for his services.
He has not disappointed and as we head into the league's 25th round of fixtures, Hall is ranked 20th of the 531 players to have featured in the Premier League this season.
If you remove players from Liverpool and Arsenal - the two sides at the top of the table - Hall is the highest ranked.
For the 1,922 minutes Hall has been on the pitch, Newcastle have scored 41 goals and conceded 22, giving the 20-year-old full-back a score of +19.
Most Valuable Summer Signings
Score | Player | Team | Fee | Minutes | For | Against |
+19 | Lewis Hall | Newcastle | £28m | 1,922 | 41 | 22 |
+14 | Riccardo Calafiori | Arsenal | £42m | 754 | 24 | 10 |
+12 | Elliot Anderson | N Forest | £35m | 1,560 | 32 | 20 |
+11 | Pedro Neto | Chelsea | £54m | 1,127 | 24 | 13 |
+8 | Dominic Solanke | Tottenham | £65m | 1,601 | 37 | 29 |
+4 | Evanilson | Bournemouth | £40m | 1,383 | 22 | 18 |
+4 | Iliman Ndiaye | Everton | £20m | 1,883 | 24 | 20 |
+2 | Emile Smith Rowe | Fulham | £34m | 1,450 | 22 | 20 |
+2 | Savinho | Manchester City | £33.6m | 1,173 | 23 | 21 |
+1 | Thiago | Brentford | £30m | 130 | 3 | 2 |
This season, Hall has been part of eight clean sheets enjoyed by the Magpies, who are 39/10 with NetBet to keep a clean sheet on their visit to Manchester City this weekend.
Arsenal's Riccardo Calafiori has only helped the Gunners to three clean sheets in the league, but they are in a better position to challenge Liverpool for the title.
A seven-point advantage is not insurmountable, but more clean sheets will be needed. As for the Italian, Mikel Arteta can be satisfied with his return.
The Gunners paid Bologna £42m for the Italian international and during his time on the pitch, Arsenal's goal differential is +14.
His first of two league goals came in the 2-2 thriller at Manchester City in September, and the second came in a 1-0 win at Wolves last month.
Anderson Leads The Forest Charge
Nottingham Forest paid Newcastle £35m for midfielder Elliot Anderson, which at the time seemed like a lot of money.
However, Anderson has been one of the best signings of the season so far and he has been one of the reasons why Forest are on course to qualify for next season's Champions League.
Anderson has played 1,560 minutes for Nuno Espirito Santo and Forest have a goal difference of +12 when the midfielder in on the field.
The 22-year-old has one goal and five assists so far this season and he will hope to either score or assist at Fulham this weekend.
Ramsdale And Kilman Have Been The Biggest Flops
Every signing made is a risk. A player could get injured in his first game and miss a large chunk of the season.
However, with 40 starts between them, Southampton goalkeeper Aaron Ramsdale and West Ham defender Max Kilman have been the biggest summer signings to flop this season.
After three seasons at Arsenal, Ramsdale decided to swap title challenges for a relegation battle by signing for Southampton in the summer.
Saints know there position at the bottom of the table isn't down to the performances of Ramsdale, but they would have hoped for more than two cleans sheets from the England international.
In the 1,440 minutes of action he has been a part of, Ramsdale has been beaten 33 times, while at the other end, his team have scored just 13 goals.
Least Valuable Summer Signings
Score | Player | Team | Fee | Minutes | For | Against |
-20 | Aaron Ramsdale | Southampton | £25m | 1,440 | 13 | 33 |
-18 | Max Kilman | West Ham | £40m | 2,089 | 28 | 46 |
-14 | Rory Delap | Ipswich | £20m | 1,781 | 17 | 31 |
-13 | Oliver Skipp | Leicester | £25m | 758 | 8 | 21 |
-8 | Amadou Onana | Aston Villa | £50m | 1,084 | 13 | 21 |
-6 | Leny Yoro | Manchester United | £58.9m | 542 | 7 | 13 |
-4 | Georgino Rutter | Brighton | £40m | 1,273 | 21 | 25 |
-4 | Rodrigo Gomes | Wolves | £12.7m | 562 | 11 | 15 |
-2 | Eddie Nketiah | C Palace | £30m | 623 | 9 | 11 |
0 | Giorgi Mamardashvili | Liverpool | £29m | 0 | 0 | 0 |
West Ham supporters may be hoping their club kept the receipt for defender Max Kilman, who they paid Wolves £40m for in the summer.
Kilman was tipped for a spell in the England squad last summer in the post-Gareth Southgate era, but interim manager Lee Carsley decided against calling him up.
The former futsal star, who played every minute for Wolves last season, has not hit the same heights at his new club.
The 27-year-old has started every game for the Hammers, who have conceded 46 goals with Kilman in their defence and scored 28.
There's still plenty of time for the players at the wrong end of our rankings to turn their fortunes around, but like all surveys, somebody has to be last.
