All The Stats, Trends & Odds You Need Ahead Of Premier League's Opening Weekend

The Premier League is back, with fans of each club dreaming of glory.
Liverpool are the pre-season favourites with the best betting sites with Arsenal and Manchester City close behind.
Success differs from team to team, but the opening weekend is a great opportunity to get the campaign off to a winning start.
Clubs have been busy in the transfer window hoping the signings they have completed can make them more competitive.
Leeds United, Burnley and Sunderland are keen to buck the trend of newly-promoted sides being relegated after just one season, which has happened in each of the last two seasons.
Check out the key betting stats and trends for every game scheduled for this weekend's opening weekend in the Premier League.
Liverpool Vs Bournemouth, Friday 8pm
Liverpool are unbeaten in their last 12 season openers since West Brom beat them 3-0 at the Hawthorns in 2012.
Bournemouth are unbeaten in their last five games to start a Premier League campaign, and they are massive underdogs with football betting sites on Friday night.
However, the Cherries have not scored in the last three meetings against Liverpool, but this is arguably Bournemouth's best squad in the rebranded top flight.
The last time Liverpool lost at home on the opening weekend was in a 2-1 defeat to Chelsea in 2003.
Aston Villa Vs Newcastle, Saturday 12.30pm
Aston Villa have not drawn their opening game in the Premier League since sharing the points after a goalless draw at Fulham in 2011.
Newcastle are looking to win their fourth opener in a row, but their previous three wins were all at St James' Park.
The home side won both meetings last season, which saw early goals in both contests.
Anthony Gordon scored in the second minute at St James' Park, while Ollie Watkins found the net in the first minute at Villa Park.
Brighton Vs Fulham, Saturday 3pm
Brighton have never drawn on the opening weekend of the Premier League season.
Fulham start their domestic programme on the road for their third successive season.
Both teams to score and over 2.5 total goals has been a winning bet in both meetings last season.
Three of the seven goals scored in the 2024/25 campaign came in the 75th minute or later.
Sunderland Vs West Ham, Saturday 3pm
It's been nine years since Sunderland fans had a Premier League campaign to look forward to, and history is not on their side this weekend.
The Black Cats have failed to win any of their previous seven openers in the top flight, with a 1-0 win at Bolton in 2009 their last success.
Sunderland will fancy their chances against a West Ham side that have been slow starters in recent years.
The Hammers have lost seven of their last nine and they have failed to score in 12 of their 29 Premier League openers.
Tottenham Vs Burnley, Saturday 3pm
Burnley are back in the big time and they are looking to claim a rare opening day win.
In their nine Premier League curtain-raisers, Burnley's record is two wins, one draw and six defeats, including three in a row.
New Tottenham manager Thomas Frank has Champions League football to prepare for, but his first goal is to extend Spurs' unbeaten run on day one to five.
The last nine goals scored by Spurs in their opening game, have been scored by different players.
Wolves Vs Man City, Saturday 5.30pm
Unsurprisingly, Manchester City have an excellent record on the opening weekend, with 39 points from a possible 42 in their last 14 matches.
The Citizens open on the road for the ninth season in a row, and they will hope Erling Haaland can once again get off to a fast start.
Haaland has scored in each opener he has been at City, scoring five times in just three outings.
If Wolves score before half-time on Saturday evening, they will be the first team to do so against City in 19 openers, since John Terry and Frank Lampard did so for Chelsea in a 3-0 win to start the 2006/07 campaign.
For the first time since a 2-2 with Everton in 2018, Wolves start at home, looking to improve their record of just one goal scored in their last four openers.
Chelsea Vs Crystal Palace, Sunday 2pm
The first London derby takes place at Stamford Bridge on Sunday, where Crystal Palace arrive on a high after winning the FA Cup and the Community Shield.
If last season is anything to go by, this game will also finish in a 1-1 draw.
In both games, Chelsea scored first only for Eberechi Eze to rescue a point at the Bridge and Jean-Philippe Mateta to do the same at Selhurst Park.
Under 2.5 total goals could be a wise selection as it has landed in Chelsea's last three openers and two of Palace's last three.
Nottingham Forest Vs Brentford, Sunday 2pm
All eyes will be on Nottingham Forest to see if they can be a threat again this season after finishing seventh.
Forest have only failed to score in one of their eight season openers in the Premier League.
Brentford have never been involved in a 0-0 draw on the opening weekend in the top flight and have scored exactly two goals in each of their four games.
New Bees boss Keith Andrew has big shoes to fill replacing Thomas Frank, who led Brentford to two wins and two draws during his time there.
Manchester United Vs Arsenal, Sunday 4.30pm
Manchester United and Arsenal put their impressive opening weekend records on the line when they meet at Old Trafford on Sunday.
United have won eight of their last nine openers, while the Gunners have taken maximum points in each of their last three.
Bryan Mbeumo is one of three new forwards signed by United this summer, and he is aiming to score on the opening weekend for the third successive season, a streak matched by Arsenal's Bukayo Saka.
Under 2.5 total goals has been a winning bet in each of the last four encounters.
Leeds United Vs Everton, Monday 8pm
Leeds are back where their fans feel they belong and they will be confident of getting off to a fast start at home to Everton.
The Whites have started Premier League seasons well in the past, losing only once in the 13 openers (a 4-3 reverse at Liverpool in 2020).
The last four seasons have been a struggle for Everton, and in each of their last three campaigns, they have started by losing to nil.
Toffees supporters have not seen their side score a first-half goal on the opening weekend in six openers since Richarlison did so in a 2-2 draw at Wolves in 2018.
