Race Across the World 2026 Odds: Who Will Win Series Six?

Race Across the World series six got off to a speedy start for one pairing, and they are now early favourites on betting sites to win this year's contest.
The BBC One show sees five teams race more than 12,000km across Europe and Asia - the largest continental area on earth - without phones or the use of air travel.
Best friends Jo and Kush, siblings Katie and Harrison, father and daughter Molly and Andrew, cousins Puja and Roshni, and in-laws Mark and Margo have a budget of less than £26 per person per day as they race from Palermo on the island of Sicily to the remote village of Hatgal on the shores of Lake Hövsgöl, northern Mongolia.
'We've Won… So Far'
The first checkpoint for the quintet to locate was Fiskardo in Greece.
While the destination caused confusion for some, with cousins Jo and Kush expecting to be able to travel there from Italy via train, Katie and Harrison got off to a rapid start.
They were assertive in their decisions and quickly became the first of the five teams to reach Greece.
The pair followed that up by being the first team of the series to reach a checkpoint, and as a result, they have been installed as the 6/4 favourites on betting apps to win this year's Race Across the World and claim the £20,000 prize.
However, they did make some heft spends early on.
Upon discovering they are the early leaders, Katie said, "We've won the race so far!" and Harrison added, "It's made the budget spend just about worth it."
Katie then said: "You just had to talk about the budget ... enjoy the win."
The siblings' finances could still become an issue later in the race, but for now, they are in the lead.
While viewers know Katie and Harrison are in front, the other placings are a mystery after episode one.
Foot Race For Second
The episode ended with four teams aiming to reach the checkpoint in second place.
Jo and Kush, and Molly and Andrew were on the same boat approaching Fiskardo, and it looks likely to be close between the pair for the runner-up spot so far.
After the two teams disembarked from the boat, it was a foot race to the checkpoint hotel, and after Molly and Andrew went the wrong way, it looks like Jo and Kush could be in the ascendancy.
Race Across The World 2026 Odds:
Contestants | Odds | Probability |
Katie and Harrison | 6/4 | 40% |
Jo and Kush | 2/1 | 33.3% |
Molly and Andrew | 9/4 | 30.8% |
Puja and Roshni | 5/2 | 28.6% |
Mark and Margo | 3/1 | 25% |
With youth on their side, too, they are 2/1 second favourites to win this year's Race Across the World, but Molly and Andrew, who is a geography teacher, could prove vital throughout the race, aren't far behind at 9/4.
In episode one, Molly and Andrew had to use their persuasive skills after they were €10 short of the ferry fare.
Jo and Kush were on the same boat, but they refused to help their rivals.
However, Molly and Andrew managed to exchange some sterling with a stranger to get enough cash to catch the ferry.
Mark And Margo's Early Delay
Mark and Margo are propping up the outright market at 3/1 at this early stage.
The in-laws had an unfortunate delay in the race when they got stuck in one place because there were no transport options available.
To make matters worse, they struggled for hours to find accommodation for the night, because everything was booked up in peak season.
Eventually, they managed to find a place to rest their heads, but they had to fork out more than €100 for the privilege.
While cousins Puja and Roshni (5/2) didn't have the same delay, they appeared to be on a similar route to Mark and Margo.
As a result, they could be languishing near the bottom of the timings early on.
