Who Will Win The Great Celebrity Bake Off For Stand Up To Cancer 2025?

The Great Celebrity Bake Off for Stand Up To Cancer 2025 is gearing up for its third episode, and a couple of comedians are aiming to overcome a TV presenter and an actor.
Good Morning Britain host Kate Garraway is the TV presenter in question, and she has compared baking to "magic".
It remains to be seen if she brings her wand to the Bake Off tent on Sunday, where she will take on Famalam star Gbemisola Ikumelo, who describes herself as having a "chaotic", yet "inventive" baking style.
Comedians Phil Wang and Sophie Willan, who is best known for her sitcom Alma's Not Normal, complete the line-up.
All four will be hoping to follow in the footsteps of Roman Kemp, who won last week's Star Baker award.
The TV presenter was 3/1 on betting sites to be victorious, after claiming beforehand he had "zero baking skills".
But who will be successful in episode three?
Kate Won't Get Carried Away
Ahead of Sunday's episode, Kate has insisted her baking weakness is her "lack of skill, and a lack of time to practise", but she did confess she has "no idea" if she is any good at baking because she hasn't really done it.
However, she is a fan of cooking and has "always been the cook at home", which is surely a positive.
Garraway said: "My mum says I am a great instinctive cook and always seem to know how to combine ingredients to make something delicious - I rarely, if ever, use a recipe.
The Great Celebrity Bake Off for Stand Up To Cancer 2025 Odds: Episode 3 Winner
Celebrity Baker | Odds | Probability |
Kate Garraway | 15/8 | 34.8% |
Gbemisola Ikumelo | 2/1 | 33.3% |
Sophie Willan | 7/2 | 22.2% |
Phil Wang | 5/1 | 16.7% |
"But that’s different isn’t it because you can taste it as you go - popping a pinch of something in here and a splash of something else in there.
"Baking is a different ball game entirely. It’s like magic. I don’t think I’ve come out proving myself a Merlin, but I’m hoping not to be the wicked witch of the west."
Kate looks more likely to be a Merlin then a wicked witch on Sunday night, because she is the narrow 15/8 favourite on betting apps to be crowned Star Baker.
But Kate joked she will count the episode as a victory if she "doesn't poison anyone".
'Chaotic' Gbemisola In It To Win It
Writer and director Gbemisola also admitted she can cook, but she prefers to let her "family of amazing cooks" put the graft in in the kitchen, so she can reap the benefits.
Despite that, 2/1 second favourite Gbemisola admitted she "secretly really wants to win" Celebrity Bake Off.
She said: "I can’t show it too much, because I’m competitive to the point that people will start going, 'Whoa, calm down, this is for charity. Relax!'
"So I need to rein that part of me in, so I don’t forget the camaraderie and joy and fun. I tend to take myself very seriously when it comes to competitive things."
Gbemisola counts one of her strengths as thinking on her feet, because she responds to bad situations "in the moment", but she added: "The weakness is that if I make a mistake, I will not let it go. It will haunt me for months.
"I find it really hard to drop it and move on. I’m my own worst critic."
Wang Winging It
Comedian Phil Wang is propping up the four-person market at 5/1, just behind 7/2 chance Sophie.
And neither seem too concerned about trying to win Star Baker.
Phil describes his baking style as "desperate" and "grateful", and he added: "I’m only competitive about things I think I can win. So I’m not competitive about this at all.
"I’m not a competitive soul, really. I’m only competitive about quizzes. I’m just here to enjoy baking - or try to enjoy it."
Sophie admitted she will be happy enough to "do an alright job", and she's not even bothered about receiving one of judge Paul Hollywood's famous Hollywood Handshakes.
When asked how badly she wants to win, she said: "I’m really not bothered. I want to do an alright job. I want to prove to myself I can do it.
"So I’ll be competitive with myself, but I’m not thinking I can win. I’m just thinking 'I can do this, I can make a good bun' or whatever you’re making."
Quizzed on what it would mean to her to get a Hollywood handshake, she said: "I’m not so bothered, really. It’s quite nice to chat to him, but I’m not expecting to be the big baker.
"I’d just like to go through with my dignity intact, if I can.
"So I think my expectations of myself are much lower than a Hollywood handshake."
