The Panel: World Cup 2026 - Beat The Bookies

Kylian Mbappe was Tuesday's hero at the World Cup, scoring two of France's three goals in their Round of 32 victory over Sweden.

Les Bleus' skipper moved level with Argentina's Lionel Messi on six goals in the Golden Boot race, and Mbappe (18) is just one behind the same player in the list of the World Cup's all-time leading scorer list.

Wednesday sees Harry Kane and England return to action as they face DR Congo in Atlanta, knowing victory will set up a Round of 16 clash with Mexico at the iconic Azteca Stadium.

Fellow joint-hosts USA take on Bosnia & Herzegovina for a place in the last 16 and a meeting with either Belgium or Senegal, who meet in Seattle.

Throughout the tournament, each of our football experts will make one prediction for each of the 104 matches over the 39 days, with 10 units on each.

Whether it's an exact scoreline, a player to be booked or to provide an assist, it can be any selection - anything goes, as long as there is a market available for it.

Like many of the leading betting sites, we will be using the 'Super Sub' rule, where the bet continues even if the chosen player gets substituted during the match.

We want this to simulate what it's like for you when you place your bets during the domestic football season - and our experts know a thing or two about that!

Track which pundit is top of the table throughout the World Cup, so be sure to turn on the notifications on our social channels, including Twitter/X - @ThePanelGDC.

Who Are Our Top Tipsters?

You will know some of our football experts very well if you happen to follow the best pundits on social media.

Lee Judges is arguably one of Arsenal's most recognisable supporters, and he'll be on a high after seeing his Gunners claim their first Premier League title in over two decades.

Lawrence 'Buvey' Bury is hoping to finish top of the table, which is something his Manchester City failed to do, while Tom Garratt is hoping his beloved West Brom can join the top flight next season.

Dean Ryan is our in-house horse racing expert and despite following Tottenham, knows a thing or two about football, while self-confessed stats geek Charlie Mullan will trust the data throughout the tournament.
