Cheltenham Festival 2025 Odds: Our Lucky 15 For Day 2

After a brilliant opening day of racing at the 2025 Cheltenham Festival, our attention quickly turns to day two of the meeting.
All eyes will be on Jonbon as he seeks to taste festival glory for the first time in his career.
Wednesday’s card does look more appealing than Tuesday’s one, which had four odds-on shots, although we do have some short-priced favourites with betting sites in the form of Final Demand, Ballyburn, and Jonbon.
In this article, I will explain what a lucky 15 bet is and pick out some big-priced each-way value on day two of the festival that should get into the mix.
What Is A Lucky 15 Bet?
A Lucky 15 bet is a popular multiple-bet format in horse racing and other sports. It consists of 15 bets placed on four selections (teams, horses, or outcomes). The 15 bets are broken down as follows:
- 4 Singles (one bet per selection)
- 6 Doubles (each possible pairing of two selections)
- 4 Trebles (each possible grouping of three selections)
- 1 Four-Fold Accumulator (all four selections combined)

Why Is It Called A Lucky 15?
The "lucky" part comes from the fact that even if only one selection wins, you still get a payout (unlike a traditional accumulator, where all selections must win).
Some horse racing betting sites also offer bonuses, such as double odds if only one selection wins or a percentage boost if all four selections win.
Here's how it works. If you bet €1 per bet, the total stake would be €15 (€1 × 15 bets).
Your returns depend on how many of your selections win and the odds of each.
Sixmilebridge - Turners Novices’ Hurdle (Wednesday 13:20)
Sixmilebridge was an impressive winner at Leicester and Huntington, which prompted connections to have a crack at Grade 2 company for Cheltenham trials day in January.
On that occasion, he won with his head in his chest, running out a facile eight-and-a-half length winner.
The performance doesn’t seem to have been a fluke, and it’s not like it was an easy race, as Potter's Charm and Billy Joyce chased him home.
They have shown useful levels of form this season.
Odds of 16/1 with betting apps for the Turners look far too big, as he bids to give Fergal O’Brien his first-ever Cheltenham Festival winner.
Dancing City - Brown Advisory Novices' Chase (Wednesday 14:00)
Ballyburn was an easy winner at the festival last year, but it’s fair to say that he hasn't set the world alight over fences just yet, and 5/4 looks a skinny enough price.
Dancing City looks to be much better value at 9/2.
He was third at Cheltenham last year but followed that up with wins at Aintree and Punchestown.
The eight-year-old has taken well to life over fences, with three wins on the bounce.
He should give his favourite plenty to think about in an exciting renewal.
Solness - Queen Mother Champion Chase (Wednesday 16:00)
Jonbon heads the market at 10/11 here, but he has been beaten at Cheltenham three times and might be vulnerable if his jumping is put under pressure by the frantic pace of the race.
Solness (15/2) could be the horse to spring a surprise. He has not got the credit he deserves for his brace of wins at Leopardstown, and if allowed to dictate the race from the front, he could be difficult to reel in again.
His jockey, JJ Slevin, is good at riding from the front and knowing what he has under the hood.
Expect him to try and catch his rivals on their feet and attempt to outstay them to the line.
Kalypso'chance - Champion Bumper (Wednesday 17:20)
The Irish have won the bumper for the past eight years, with Gordon Elliott claiming two with Fayonagh and Envoi Allen.
He looks to have another high-class prospect with Kalypso’chance, who is unbeaten in three starts.
His impressive point-to-point win was followed up with two facile bumper victories.
He looks to have all the right credentials to land the Champion Bumper at a price of 11/2 in the final race on Wednesday.
