Dominic Calvert-Lewin Next Club Odds: Leeds Favourites To Bag Ex-Everton Striker

Dominic Calvert-Lewin remains a free agent despite ending his nine-year spell at Everton in June.
The former Toffees striker has reportedly sacked his representative and will conduct his own transfer negotiations in a bid to find a new club ahead of the new season.
Newcastle and Aston Villa were the joint-favourites at the end of July to sign him, but betting sites make Premier League newcomers Leeds the latest frontrunners to bring Calvert-Lewin to Elland Road.

His best return came during the 2020/21 season when he bagged a career-high 16 goals, so the question is whether he can rediscover his form at a new club.
Which club will snap up the former England international for the start of the new season?
Gambling.com takes a look at the leading contenders to sign one of the best free agents on the market and the latest Dominic Calvert-Lewin next club odds.

Whites Lead Way For DCL
Leeds remain in the hunt for a proven Premier League striker as they prepare for their top-flight return.
Joel Piroe was the Championship's top scorer last season with 19 goals, but he has never been tested at elite level.
Although the Yorkshire club brought in 26-year-old forward Lukas Nmecha on a free transfer from Wolfsburg, Leeds are still lacking a player that can test Premier League defences.
Manager Daniel Farke has made it clear Patrick Bamford has no future at the club and Mateo Joseph has joined Mallorca on a season-long loan, so there is a gap to fill up front.
TalkSPORT suggests Leeds have already held talks with Calvert-Lewin, who is 7/4 on football betting sites to join United, although they are also thought to be interested in Fulham's Rodrigo Muniz.
Black Cats On The Prowl
Sunderland have been very active during the summer transfer window, bringing in the likes of Chelsea forward Marc Guiu on loan and winger Simon Adingra from Brighton in a £21million deal.
Eliezer Mayenda scored 10 goals in the Championship last season, including the equaliser in the play-off final, and has been leading the line in a disappointing pre-season.
Wilson Isidor is also an option for the centre-forward role, but the Black Cats could do with an experienced Premier League striker like Calvert-Lewin.
Sunderland were linked with the Yorkshireman last week and are 7/1 second favourites to bring him to the Stadium of Light.
Magpies Need Striker
The fairytale ending to last season is a distant memory for Newcastle as they try to cling on to wantaway striker Alexander Isak.
The Magpies ended the Premier League campaign in buoyant mood after finishing in fifth place which proved good enough to snaffle a Champions League spot.
Eddie Howe's team spent the summer trying to find another high-quality striker to accompany Isak, but missed out on Hugo Ekitike and Benjamin Sesko, who joined Liverpool and Manchester United respectively.
However, Isak, the second most prolific scorer in the Premier League last season with 23 goals, wants to join Liverpool, who had a £110m rejected by the Tynesiders at the start of August.
The Swede missed Newcastle's pre-season tour of the Far East with a slight thigh injury and was training on his own at his former club Real Sociedad until returning to England.
Isak is almost certain to miss Saturday's Premier League opener against Aston Villa and it is unlikely the Magpies will have signed Brentford's Yoane Wissa in time for the weekend.
Callum Wilson's departure after five years at St James' Park means Howe has a selection dilemma for Saturday's game, so could he turn to Calvert-Lewin in the meantime?
Newcastle were 2/1 to sign the former Toffees forward on a free transfer, but those odds have drifted significantly to 8/1 on betting apps.
Watkins Likely To Stay At Villa
Manchester United were interested in signing Aston Villa striker Ollie Watkins during the summer, but were not prepared to pay the £60m asking price which resulted in them signing Sesko instead.
Villa reportedly rejected several bids from Arsenal for the England striker in January, yet the club stood firm with their valuation.
It now seems increasingly likely that Watkins will lead the Villa line in the Premier League and Europa League.
Villa boss Unai Emery has also brought in Evann Guessand from Nice in a deal which could rise to £28m, which explains why the odds on Calvert-Lewin signing for the club have lengthened from 2/1 to 8/1 with Bet365.
United Drift After Sesko Coup
Manchester United's search for a new striker finally paid off when they signed Sesko from Leipzig in a deal worth up to £73.7m.
The Slovenian's switch is likely to spark the departure of Rasmus Hojlund, who could return to Italy with AC Milan.
Joshua Zirkzee has hardly been a roaring success at Old Trafford and should he leave, United would still have a gap to fill up front.
The Red Devils have reportedly held talks with Calvert-Lewin, who has drifted from 5/1 to 10/1 with William Hill to join United.
Chelsea are also 10/1, but they signed Joao Pedro and Liam Delap in the summer and still have the likes of Nicolas Jackson and Christopher Nkunku on their books.

Fulham In The Frame
Elsewhere, Fulham are priced at 14/1 amid speculation surrounding the future of Muniz.
Milan and Champions League side Villarreal are also available at 14/1, although the former seem intent on signing Hojlund.
Everton recently signed Yellow Submarine striker Thierno Barry for around £27m, so could Calvert-Lewin head in the other direction, albeit on a free transfer?
Wolves sold Matheus Cunha to Manchester United in the summer and are 18/1 to sign Calvert-Lewin, with Brighton, Nottingham Forest and West Ham all available at 20/1.
Premier League newcomers Burnley can be backed at 25/1, the same odds as Celtic, while a move to Serie A side Atalanta is 16/1.
