Next Leeds Manager Odds: Low Enters The Fray But O'Neil Still Favourite

Despite a fourth successive defeat that leaves Leeds in the bottom three, Daniel Farke eased some of the pressure on himself for the way his side played in their 3-2 defeat at Manchester City last weekend.
Trailing 2-0 at the interval, Farke's side had a go in the second half and looked to have rescued a point, only for Phil Foden's second goal of the game to seal a dramatic win for City.
Gary O'Neil remains the favourite on betting sites to replace the beleaguered German if he gets the sack, but a new name has emerged as a possible replacement.
Zsolt Low is not an instantly recognisable name to English football fans, but the Hungarian coach has been installed as the second favourite after receiving support in the market.
The fixtures don't get any easier for Leeds, who face back-to-back home games against Chelsea and Liverpool.
The club's American owners may be forced to make a switch if results do not improve sooner rather than later.
Let's take a look at the candidates in the running to be the next Leeds manager.
Leeds United's Next Five Fixtures:

O'Neil A Strong Favourite
Linked with nearly every managerial vacancy since the end of last season, O'Neil has been backed into Evens favourite to replace Farke if he leaves.
He is also the market leader to be the next Burnley manager if Scott Parker is sacked, and turned down the chance to return to his former club Wolves.
The 42-year-old offers an appealing mix of tactical nous and resilience, having previously kept both Bournemouth and Wolves competitive despite limited resources.
In an environment where stability could be key, O’Neil’s disciplined, structured approach could be what is needed to steady the ship at Leeds and avoid the drop.

Could Low Raise Mood At Leeds?
Low has emerged as a surprise contender for the Leeds job, having gained experience at some of Europe’s most demanding clubs.
The highly-regarded Hungarian served as Thomas Tuchel’s long-time assistant during trophy-winning spells at Paris Saint-Germain, Chelsea and Bayern Munich.
The 46-year-old has also had various positions with Red Bull's stable of clubs, including RB Leipzig, where he served as interim manager earlier this year.
Given that Red Bull is a minority owner of the club, it is no surprise that Low is as low as 3/1 with some bookmakers.
Svensson On The Drift
Former Denmark international Svensson was favourite on some football betting sites to land the Leeds job if Farke was shown the door.
However, with support coming in for some of his rival candidates, his price has now drifted out to 5/1.
A four-time Danish Superliga winner as a player, Svensson performed a miraculous task as head coach of Mainz in the 2020/21 campaign, leading the Bundesliga strugglers out of the relegation zone with 32 points in the second half of the season.
Mainz finished in the top half of the table in the next two seasons, but he left the club by mutual consent in November 2023.
Corberan Back In The Running
Carlos Corberan is usually linked with Leeds when there is a vacancy or a crisis, and is now 5/1 to make a return to Elland Road.
The Spaniard was promoted to the role of first-team coach under the ever-popular Marcelo Bielsa in June 2018 and was part of the team that secured promotion to the Premier League.
Since then, he has had successful stints in charge of Huddersfield, West Brom and boyhood club Valencia, leading the latter out of the relegation zone to 12th spot in the 2024/25 campaign.
Corberan had been under pressure at the Spanish club after a seven-match winless run, but they have since gone unbeaten in three games, moving them two points clear of the bottom three.
Rodgers May Be Ready For Premier League Return
Rodgers’ reign at Celtic came to an end after falling out with the club's owners, and the Northern Irishman could be ready to make a return to Premier League football.
The former Liverpool and Leicester City boss has proved himself to be a top-level manager, and could be a good fit for a club like Leeds, where expectations are always high.
He has been linked with various clubs since leaving Scotland, so the owners may have to move quickly if Rodgers is the man they want.
The 52-year-old is 6/1 on betting apps to be the next man in charge at Elland Road.

Knutsen And Rose In The Frame
Available at 14/1, Kjetil Knutsen has overseen the rise of Bodo/Glimt on the domestic and European football scene.
The Norwegian is another manager to have been linked to a number of other roles, but he appears to be content with continuing the project at his current club.
Elsewhere, Marco Rose was once the 11/8 favourite for the Leeds job, but his price has now drifted to 25/1.
Rose has been out of work since he was sacked by RB Leipzig in March after a string of poor results both domestically and in the Champions League.
With his connection to Red Bull and experience at a higher level, he could be just what is needed at Elland Road.

Where Next For Ange?
Ange Postecoglou is a surprise name in the next Leeds manager betting, with bookmakers pricing him as an outsider at around 12/1 despite his recent sackings at Tottenham and Nottingham Forest.
The Australian is at a crossroads in his managerial career, but his stock is still relatively high after his title-winning spell with Celtic and a Europa League victory with Spurs.
Leeds’ hierarchy are thought to be admirers, and his attacking style of football would raise the excitement at Elland Road.
Another manager whose reputation has taken a hit in recent times is Russell Martin. Sacked by Rangers after just four months in charge, he is a 33/1 outsider to replace Farke.

Other Unlikely Outsiders
Elsewhere, in the next Leeds manager betting odds, Steven Gerrard is another outsider priced at 33/1 to take the reins should Farke be given his cards.
Gerrard has experience in managing in the Premier League, although his winning percentage of 32.5% at Aston Villa left a lot to be desired.
Michael Carrick, Erik ten Hag and Patrick Vieira all lost their jobs this year and are also seen as unlikely contenders at 33/1.
