Next Burnley Manager Odds: Parker Leaves! Former Liverpool Duo Head Market

Burnley manager Scott Parker has left the club after they were relegated from the Premier League with four games remaining.
A 1-0 defeat by title hopefuls Manchester City ensured an immediate return to the Championship next season, but who will be in charge for the 2026/27 campaign?
The Clarets’ assistant manager Mike Jackson will oversee the final few games, starting with Friday’s trip to relegation-threatened Leeds.
Steven Gerrard is the early favourite on betting sites to take the reins at Turf Moor, closely followed by another former Liverpool player.
Here, we take a look at the main contenders and the latest next Burnley manager odds.
Club Statement: Scott Parker
— Burnley FC (@BurnleyOfficial) April 30, 2026
Scott Parker has left his position as Head Coach of Burnley Football Club by mutual consent.
Reds Legend In The Driving Seat
Gerrard has been without a job since leaving Saudi Arabian club Al-Ettifaq 15 months ago, although he turned down the chance of returning to Rangers in October.
The former England midfielder held talks with the Glasgow giants following the disastrous reign of Russell Martin, but decided against a move because the "timing" was not right.
He told TNT Sports: "I had some really positive and interesting talks with the owners. But it felt a bit rushed. I had a lot to think about and a short space of time to give a decision.
"There were a few things I was uncertain about. And if I'm going to take a challenge that big and that important - I've got that affection and connection with Rangers - for me to take that on again it had to be perfect and I had to be 100% ready."

Now that the dust has settled, Gerrard may consider the managerial vacancy at Burnley, which is only a 50-mile drive from Liverpool.
Gerrard famously prevented Celtic from winning a 10th successive Scottish Premiership title in 2020/21 by 25 points, going through the whole season unbeaten.
His spell as Aston Villa manager lasted less than a year, but he is the 4/7 favourite with William Hill to get back in the dugout at Burnley.

Bellamy Closing On Gerrard
Wales manager Craig Bellamy is not regarded as a Liverpool legend like Gerrard, but he is in the frame to return to Turf Moor.
Bellamy had a couple of spells at Burnley as part of Vincent Kompany’s backroom staff, spending the last two years as a first-team coach.
For now, he remains the head coach of the Wales national team which failed to qualify for the World Cup following an agonising penalty shoot-out defeat to Bosnia-Herzegovina.

Bellamy is viewed by the Burnley hierarchy as an excellent replacement for Parker, but he may take some persuading.
The former Newcastle and Manchester City striker, who also played for Burnley’s arch rivals Blackburn, has a contract with Wales until the end of the Euro 2028 campaign.
Prising him away from a job he loves will require some expert diplomacy, but Bellamy is in the mix at 4/1 with one of the betting apps.
Next Burnley Manager Odds: Solskjaer Third Favourite
Ole Gunnar Solskjaer had an eventful three-year spell as Manchester United manager and is 7/1 to get back into management with Burnley.
The Norwegian famously scored the winning goal against Bayern Munich in the Champions League final to secure what was then an unprecedented treble, but his time in the dugout at Old Trafford was patchy.
Brought in as a temporary replacement for Jose Mourinho in December 2018, Solskjaer made an excellent start in the Premier League and also steered United to the quarter-finals of the Champions League.
He signed a three-year contract in March 2019, but the Red Devils finished the season in sixth spot – the position they were in when he took charge on a caretaker basis.
United finished third in the following season and reached the last four of the Europa League, going one better in the 2020/21 campaign only to lose an epic penalty shoot-out against Villarreal in the final.
They also finished runners-up to neighbours City in the same season, so his reign has to be regarded favourably despite a poor start to the 2021/22 campaign which resulted in his dismissal.
Solskjaer had a 54% win rate when he left Old Trafford (Alex Ferguson’s was almost 60%) and although his one-year spell at Besiktas did not go well, he certainly deserves another chance.

Quick Return For Rosenior?
Liam Rosenior’s tortured spell in charge of Chelsea was brought to a merciful end in April, but could he be back in a flash with Burnley?
Rosenior was unfairly sacked by Hull City’s trigger-happy owner Acun Ilicali at the end of the 2023/24 campaign, despite guiding the Tigers to their first top-half finish since 2016.
They only missed out on the play-offs by three points, but Ilicali ended up appointing Tim Walter, a decision he would later regret.
It was no surprise when Rosenior led Strasbourg into Europe for the first time in eight years during his debut season with the Ligue 1 club, but the lure of Chelsea proved too great.
Like others before him, he struggled to get a tune out of a young squad and was sacked after just three months into a five-year deal.
Rosenior’s record at Hull and Strasbourg still makes him an attractive proposition for ambitious clubs and he is 9/1 to end up at Burnley.

Frank And Dyche Head Outsiders
Elsewhere, former Brentford and Tottenham boss Thomas Frank can be backed at 10/1, the same price as ex-Clarets gaffer Sean Dyche, who had a remarkable 10-year managerial reign at Turf Moor.
Ex-Southampton boss Ralph Hasenhuttl, who was last in charge of Wolfsburg, is 12/1 to return to England as manager of Burnley, while Slaven Bilic can be backed at 14/1.
The Croat has been head coach of West Ham and Watford, but in between he guided West Brom to the Premier League in the 2019/20 season.

Robbie Keane, who has won titles in Israel and Hungary with Maccabi Tel Aviv and Ferencvarosi respectively, is 16/1.
Brondby head coach Steve Cooper, who took over from Nottingham Forest when they were bottom of the Championship and led them to the Premier League in the same season, is also 16/1.
Former Baggies boss Carlos Corberan, now close to ending his second season with Valencia, is 20/1, the same odds as Michael Skubala, who has earned plenty of plaudits for leading Lincoln to the League One title.
England U21 head coach Lee Carsley is also 20/1, although that scenario looks fanciful.
