Nottingham’s Dusk Till Dawn To Become Dedicated Poker Venue

Rob Yong, owner of Nottingham’s Dusk Till Dawn Casino which houses the UK’s biggest poker card room, took to Twitter this week to show his followers all live gaming tables had been taken out of his venue.
By dispensing with roulette and blackjack tables the casino element has effectively been removed from the venue meaning Dusk Till Dawn, once again, purely a poker specific card club.
Speaking about the decision to take out the gaming tables on the social media platform, Yong explained the vacated floor space would be replaced with a sports bar while partly indicating UK Gaming regulations involved too many “issues” for them to stay.

Paraphrasing his short vlog, Yong said: “We originally opened as a poker only venue and we never felt one hundred percent about having the live gaming in here.
“Analysis since the live gaming went in shows the cash games went down. So we are going with the strategy of keeping the money in the poker economy.
“I think overall this is going to be a popular decision and it will be good to have back a list of customers that we have lost through self-exclusion.”
The Blast is Lessened at 888Poker
888poker has made changes to its Sit & Go poker game ‘Blast’. Previously a four-handed game, 888poker have joined rival sites in making their lottery style game a three-handed affair.
Blast is popular due to the possibility of playing for a prize-pool of up to 10,000 times the buy-in. Another new alteration has seen the payout structure become more bottom-heavy than before and the probability of landing bigger prizes reduced.
€33 and Six Final Table All-Ins
Meanwhile the 888Poker LIVE festival London concluded this week. Its main event ended the 888Poker live season for 2019 on a pleasing note with the winner of the £1,100 entry tournament an online qualifier who won their seat for just €33 in an online satellite.
His name is Adrian-Eugen Constantin and while he was a deserved winner of the title and the £100,000 (c$128,500) first prize, the Romanian had an amazing run in the final table of the 518-entry competition.

Ringside bloggers reported the 41-year-old survived six all-in showdowns against the runner-up, Britain’s Leon Louis, who held 90% of the chips during heads-up play but still had to settle for second.
Nevertheless his £69,770 prize was still £50,000 more than any of his previous scores.
