Who Will Win The Great British Bake Off Series 16?

The Great British Bake Off aired a sweet Dessert Week quarter-final episode on Tuesday night - but, in the end, it was Iain that crumbled.
The amateur baker was 6/4 favourite on betting sites to go home in week eight, and sadly for him, he failed to overcome his odds.
Iain injected plenty of enthusiasm into the Bake Off tent throughout the series, but he put too much zest into his signature cheesecake on Tuesday night, according to judges Paul Hollywood and Dame Prue Leith.
He also struggled in the Technical, which required contestants to make six gluten-free orange upside-down puddings, by leaving the skin on the orange.
For the Showstopper, the stars had to make a freestanding trifle.
While Iain's looked the part, Paul said his jelly tasted like water, leaving Iain shocked.
After being told he was missing out on a place in Tuesday night's semi-final, the Northern Irishman said he was "very proud" to have made the quarter-final of the competition.

Jasmine's Joy
One star who will definitely be in Tuesday's penultimate round is Jasmine.
Ahead of the quarter-final, the judges pointed out that she was the last woman standing and, if she keeps up her current form, the last overall contestant standing.
Jasmine has been the standout amateur baker throughout the series and proved herself once again in Dessert Week by winning her fourth Star Baker award.
This is more than her semi-final opponents, Aaron, Tom and Toby, combined.
The Great British Bake Off Winner Odds:
Contestant | Odds | Probability |
Jasmine | 8/11 | 57.9% |
Toby | 11/8 | 42.1% |
Tom | 2/1 | 33.3% |
Aaron | 3/1 | 25% |
Jasmine got off to a great start last Tuesday when Prue admitted she had to try hard not to eat the baker's entire Signature cheesecake, because it tasted so good.
Later in the episode, Prue admitted that Jasmine's Showstopper looked "remarkable" and had a "lovely flavour," while Paul said she did a "fantastic job."
After being announced as Star Baker once again, Jasmine confessed she assumed a Dessert Week victory was "out of the realms of possibility" and appeared to be in disbelief at her latest win.
Following her exploits, Jasmine is into just 8/11 on betting apps to win this year's Bake Off title.
Toby isn't too far behind at 11/8, and he didn't seem in much danger of going home on Tuesday, despite Paul admitting the sponge in his Showstopper trifle was "rock hard" and "very dry".
Tom Scrapes Through
Tom won the Dessert Week Technical challenge - but that was the highlight of his week.
He didn't get off to a great start with his Signature cheesecake, for which he made an all-black dish, and Prue said it was more exciting to look at than to eat.
It was a similar story with his Showstopper.
The Great British Bake Off Next Elimination Odds:
Contestant | Odds | Probability |
Aaron | 15/8 | 34.8% |
Tom | 2/1 | 33.3% |
Toby | 3/1 | 25% |
Jasmine | 5/1 | 16.7% |
Prue praised Tom's final Dessert Week creation as "absolutely magnificent" to look at, but she and fellow judge Paul were disappointed with the taste.
The pair admitted they could only taste almond, and Paul said Tom's Showstopper was "quite upsetting".
Despite that, Tom progressed, at Iain's expense, and admitted afterwards he had "scraped through" to the semi-final.
He remains 2/1 to win this year's Bake Off, just ahead of 3/1 outsider Aaron.
Aaron Favourite To Miss Finale
Before judging the quarter-final Showstoppers, Paul admitted it would be "tricky judging" because of the high quality on display.
Aaron is 15/8 favourite to go home in Tuesday's semi-final, but it wouldn't be a huge surprise if he did enough to progress and go on to win the series overall.
He will, however, have to improve on Dessert Week if he is to triumph.

Aaron finished last in the Technical challenge, and according to Paul, his sponge was "too dry" in his Showstopper trifle.
In the Signature, Prue praised his Dessert Week cheesecake, admitting it would catch her eye in a pastry shop's window.
Aaron will hope to channel more of that in Tuesday's semi-final - it's Patisserie Week.
