Willie Mullins is widely regarded as the dominant force in modern National Hunt racing and continues to set the standard for jump trainers across Britain and Ireland.

Based at Closutton in County Carlow, Ireland, Mullins had trained 113 Cheltenham Festival winners coming into the, making him the most successful trainer in the history of the prestigious meeting.

His stable has produced numerous champions, including Hurricane Fly, Galopin Des Champs, Faugheen and Quevega, while he has also enjoyed major success in the Grand National and Irish Grand National.

Surprisingly, Mullins only had one win on the opening day at Cheltenham 2026, with Lossiemouth making it four wins from four starts at the festival, but landed a treble on day two with King Rasko Grey, Kitzbuhel and Il Etait Temps.

Drew an unexpected blank on day three as his team failed to fire, but still has plenty of chances to add to his record tally on the final day.
