Man Utd Transfer Odds: Who Will The Red Devils Sign In January?

Manchester United are working hard to bolster their squad in January after terminating Cristiano Ronaldo’s contract by mutual consent.
Betting sites have released odds on who might move to Old Trafford, and the list includes several exciting players that starred at the World Cup.
The Red Devils slashed their overall wage bill by more than 10% by ripping up Ronaldo’s £500,000-per-week contract.
They identified Cody Gakpo as their top January transfer target, and he would have made an exciting replacement for Ronaldo.

However, United suffered a hammer blow when the Dutch forward agreed to join rivals Liverpool instead.
Man Utd could do with reinforcements to strengthen their bid for a top-four finish, and we have assessed the leading candidates that could join Erik ten Hag’s revolution in January.
Goncalo Ramos
Ramos saw his stock rise after he fired in a hat-trick during Portugal’s 6-1 victory over Switzerland at the World Cup.
Manager Fernando Santos made the boldest call of his eight-year tenure when he benched Cristiano Ronaldo in favour of Ramos in the crucial Round of 16 clash.
The gamble paid off, as Ramos delivered a scintillating performance to put the Swiss to the sword, and his mature display put several big clubs on red alert.
The 21-year-old Benfica striker is already the top scorer in the Primeira Liga this season, with nine goals in 12 games, but his superb showing against Switzerland proved he can turn it on in big matches.

Now Man Utd could turn to Ramos to fill Ronaldo’s boots at Old Trafford too, as he is 10/3 with football betting sites to join the club in January.
He is by no means a direct replacement, as Ramos is more of a traditional striker, but he would certainly add an exciting new dimension to ten Hag’s attack.
The only sticking point is the price, as Benfica do not need to sell players, and various outlets have reported that Ramos has an eye-watering buyout clause of €120m.
However, the Red Devils may now be imbued with a sense of urgency after missing out on Gakpo, so a January move for Ramos is a distinct possibility.
Jordan Pickford
Man Utd, Tottenham and Chelsea are all considering a January move for the England No. 1 after he impressed at the World Cup.
Pickford has just 18 months left to run on his contract with Everton, and the Toffees have reportedly failed to finalise the five-year deal he agreed last month.
There is a great deal of uncertainty over David De Gea’s future (even despite talk of a new contract), and Pickford is a leading candidate to replace him.
United are the 4/1 favourites with BetVictor to sign him, but they face competition from some key domestic rivals.
Chelsea manager Graham Potter is apparently unconvinced by both Kepa Arrizabalaga and Edouard Mendy, so the Blues are 6/1 to sign him.
Spurs are also on the hunt for a long-term replacement for Hugo Lloris, and Pickford fits the bill, so they are also 6/1 to snap him up in January.
Jude Bellingham
Jude Bellingham is the hottest property in world football right now after putting in a series of commanding performances at the heart of England’s midfield in the World Cup.
Liverpool are the 7/1 frontrunners to sign him, followed by Real Madrid at 9/1.
However, United have surged ahead of Chelsea and Arsenal in the betting, having shortened from 14/1 to just 11/1 to snap Bellingham up.
Anfield remains the most likely destination for the Borussia Dortmund superstar, but it remains to be seen if the owners will sanction a deal after forking out for Gakpo, at a time when they are reportedly negotiating a sale of the club.
City are already stacked in the midfield department, so United’s chances of signing Bellingham are continually improving.
Kylian Mbappe
This would surely be the dream signing for Man Utd fans, as Kylian Mbappe ran riot against opposition defenders at the World Cup.
He is arguably the best player in the world right now, and he is far from happy at PSG, despite signing an enormous new contract in the summer.
The Frenchman was underwhelmed by the Ligue 1 club’s forays into the summer transfer market.
He is also frustrated at being asked to play almost every game this term as a central striker rather than in his preferred position on the left flank, so he could agitate for a move.
However, Real Madrid - who have tried to sign him during the last two summers - are the 4/1 favourites, followed by Liverpool (6/1) and Chelsea (14/1).

United are 33/1 outsiders, level with Arsenal in the betting, so it is highly unlikely that they will lure Mbappé to Old Trafford in January.
Another option could be Lionel Messi, who plays alongside Mbappé in a star-studded PSG attack.
He is fresh from winning the World Cup with Argentina, and Man Utd are priced at 20/1 to sign him in January, trailing only “any Saudi Arabian club” (14/1), Barcelona (14/1), Man City (14/1) and Chelsea (16/1) in the market.
Other Man Utd Transfer Targets
As one of the world’s biggest and richest clubs, United have been linked with signing many of the most exciting players on the market in January.
Chelsea’s Christian Pulisic could be on the move in January, and United are the second favourites at 8/1 to sign him.
The midfield currently looks solid after signing Casemiro in the summer, but Man Utd are priced at 12/1 with betting apps to bolster their ranks with Youri Tielemans.
RB Leipzig defender Josko Gvardiol was rock solid for Croatia at the World Cup, and Man Utd are 16/1 to bring him to Old Trafford, behind Real Madrid, Chelsea, City, Liverpool and Spurs in the betting.
