Next Luton Manager Odds: Matt Bloomfield Favourite Following Rob Edwards Sacking

Luton sacked manager Rob Edwards after a poor run of results in the Championship left them close to the bottom three.
The 42-year-old was appointed in November 2022 and steered the Hatters to promotion back to the top flight for the first time in more than 30 years last season.
He remained at the helm despite relegation from the Premier League after just a single season, but a run of four straight defeats has left them 20th in the Championship.
A 2-1 defeat at Queens Park Rangers was their 10th in a row away from home and they are just two points clear of the relegation places.
"Rob has given us some of our greatest days to celebrate as Hatters," chief executive Gary Sweet said.
"The play-off final at Wembley and our season in the Premier League will live with us forever and in doing so Rob has earned himself a legendary status."
Following Edwards' dismissal, betting sites are offering odds on his successor.
Bloomfield New Favourite For Hatters Role
Matt Bloomfield is enjoying a blistering season in League One with Wycombe, so it is no surprise to see his name mentioned when it comes to a vacancy at a Championship club.
Bloomfield is a Chairboys legend, having spent the whole of his playing career at the club where he made almost 500 appearances in a 19-year spell, so it would take an exceptional offer to coax him away from Adams Park.
It's questionable whether the former midfielder would thrive in a new environment and he may want to finish what he has started at Adams Park.
Wycombe could feasibly swap places with Luton at the end of the season, but football betting sites still make the former Colchester boss 1/3 favourite to make the leap.

Harris Has The Experience
The former Lions striker returned to the Den for a second stint as manager in February 2024, more than four years after resigning from the role, and led the Championship side away from relegation danger.
But at the start of December, the club announced that Harris would step down for a second time after the Championship game at Middlesbrough.
Harris is now looking for his next challenge and has a wealth of Championship experience having managed Millwall on two separate occasions, not to mention a stint at Cardiff, making him an obvious choice for the Bedfordshire club.
Originally installed as the 3/1 favourite to replace Edwards as the next Luton manager, Harris' odds have since drifted to 8/1 with BetVictor.
Cooper Available After Foxes Exit
Steve Cooper lasted just 12 games as Leicester manager, but in happier times, he led Nottingham Forest to the Premier League with a remarkable run of form.
Forest were propping up the Championship table with four points from eight games at the start of the 2021/22 season, but eight months later they beat Huddersfield in the play-off final.
Luton’s board would prefer to focus on this stunning success rather than the fact he was sacked by Forest at the end of 2023 following five defeats in his last six Premier League games and Cooper is 8/1 to embark on another miraculous turnaround.

Schumacher Has A Point To Prove
Steven Schumacher is still looking for his next job having been sacked by Stoke in September.
The 40-year-old left Plymouth last December to replace Alex Neil at the Bet365 Stadium but was dismissed after just 32 games in charge, with City 13th in the Championship.
He obviously feels he still has a point to prove and the chance to revive a struggling Hatters team could be the perfect opportunity.
Schumacher is 8/1 for the Luton job, although he is also one of the favourites to replace Wayne Rooney at his former club Plymouth.
Wagner Has Championship Promotion Credentials
David Wagner knows all about leading a club to promotion from the Championship against the odds and achieved that feat with Huddersfield in his first job in English football.
His stock has fallen a little since then, however, not helped by Norwich’s emphatic defeat by Leeds in the play-offs last season.
The German was dumped by the Canaries soon after that loss and he has not taken up another job since.
However, Wagner, who is 14/1 to end up at Luton, would no doubt argue that he fulfilled his remit of getting Norwich into the play-offs in the first place.
Martin And Jones Lead Chasing Pack
Former Southampton boss Russell Martin is the favourite to become the next Rangers manager should Philippe Clement be sacked, but he is also 25/1 to fill the Hatters vacancy.
Charlton boss Nathan Jones is also 25/1 to return for a third managerial spell at Kenilworth Road.
Jones steered Luton to promotion from League Two in the 2016/17 season and when he left the club to join Stoke in January 2019, he had the highest points per game ratio in their history.
Other names in the frame include Chelsea legend and former Aston Villa assistant John Terry and Ireland coach John O'Shea, who are both 33/1 with betting apps to make their managerial bows at Luton.
