Homa started his professional career slowly, but he's up to six career PGA Tour victories, five of those wins coming in the last two years.
Throughout this week, you will undoubtedly come across the fact that Homa is intimately familiar with this course, having set the course record with an outstanding 9-under 61 during the Pac-12 Championship in 2013 while representing Cal.

Nevertheless, it can be argued that the course setup for this week's event is unique and differs from anything we have seen since then.
The available data suggests that ball-striking numbers are relatively stable, to some extent, while putting numbers tend to be more unpredictable. Although I agree with this statistical analysis, it often leads us to overlook the skills of the game's most proficient putters.
Smith is currently regarded as one of the best putters in the world and his ability to perform under pressure is exceptional. If he brings his usual magical touch to the greens this week, his odds of 30/1 appear to be a fantastic deal.
PATRICK REED (+7000)
Selecting Patrick Reed at this particular number, especially on a course where the short game holds significant importance, is a highly logical decision.
From the first two majors of the season, it is evident that players from the LIV circuit can still compete admirably against the best in the PGA Tour. Their recent performances on the LIV circuit do not seem to directly correlate with their subsequent showings in major championships. Reed has already achieved impressive results, securing a T4 finish at the Masters and a T18 finish at the PGA Championship. Additionally, in his previous eight U.S. Open appearances, he has managed to finish within the top 20 on five occasions.
Even after Brooks Koepka's recent victory, it seems that LIV players (excluding Koepka himself) are still slightly undervalued in the market. I believe taking a chance on Reed at this number is a wise move, and I will supplement it with a couple of more conservative prop bets as well.
