How to Bet on the Scottish Premiership

  1. Moneyline

    Moneyline

It is one of the easiest sports betting options available, where your only job is to select a game winner. You pick the winning side. It’s as easy as that.

A game may end in a tie in some sports, including football. When that’s possible, you can bet on a three-way moneyline. You can bet on three outcomes: Team A, Team B, or a tie game.

  2. Futures

    Futures

Futures bets are wagers placed on events that will happen at some point later in the season, not a single game or performance. These are bets on a more significant outcome that have yet to be decided.

Futures odds are typically available before and during the season, but the odds are constantly in flux. They change based on what’s happening in and around the sport, including team performances, roster changes, injuries, etc.

How to Read Scottish Premiership Odds

Depending on your preference, you can change your odds format at most football betting sites.

As the name suggests, American odds are commonly used in the U.S., giving you a triple-digit or higher number with either a minus or plus sign.

The whole American odds (or moneyline odds) system is based on betting $100.

The numbers next to a minus sign (-) tell you how much you must bet to win $100. The plus symbol (+) beside the numbers tells you how much you can win by betting $100.

The negative sign indicates the favourite, while the plus sign points to the underdog.

What is the Scottish Premiership?

The Scottish Premiership is Scotland's top football tier, featuring 12 clubs. All 12 teams play each other three times. Then the top and bottom six teams split into two groups for the final five matches.

The top six teams compete for the league title and placement into top European tournaments, including the UEFA Champions League, the Europa League, and the Conference League. The last-place team is relegated to the Scottish Championship (the second tier of Scottish football), and the 11th-place team places a current Championship team to stay in the top tier.

Glasgow-based Celtic and Rangers have historically been the dominant teams, but the league also includes clubs like Aberdeen, Hibernian, and Hearts. The Old Firm derby between Celtic and Rangers is one of the biggest fixtures in the league.
