The old adage is semi-finals are for winning. Not at Eurovision it seems. And certainly not in a year where the semi-finals are televote only, but the grand final is the familiar 50-50 jury and televote format.
The Eurovision betting market shape to the semi-finals is bonkers. Finland are 4/11 to beat Sweden in semi-final one, but Sweden are odds-on for outright glory.

This is an effective match with Sweden and takes out the risk of another contender emerging from the pack.
Eurovision Odds: Semi-Final Two
If semi-final one is the Snooker World Championship at the Crucible; semi-final two is very much the pool table at the local boozer on a Friday night.
