Strictly Come Dancing Christmas 2024 Odds: Vogue And Tayce Early Frontrunners

Strictly Come Dancing has entered the business end of the series, and some fans will now have one eye on the upcoming Christmas special.

Comedian Josh Widdicombe, drag artist Tayce, DJ and podcaster Vogue Williams, Gladiators star Harry Aikines-Aryeetey, actress Tamzin Outhwaite and racing driver and TV presenter Billy Monger are the six celebrities who will take part in the special episode.

They will be full of festive cheer as they take to the dancefloor in a bid to win the Christmas Glitterball.

Ahead of the episode, it's tight at the top of UK betting sites in terms of who might land the coveted Christmas prize.

Each celebrity will be tasked with performing a festive-fuelled routine in the hope of impressing the studio audience and the BBC Latin and ballroom show's judges, Craig Revel Horwood, Motsi Mabuse, Anton Du Beke and head judge Shirley Ballas.

'Determined' Vogue Slight Favourite

Fitness expert Vogue recently gave fans a glimpse of what they can expect in this year's Strictly Christmas episode

The star and former Strictly contestant Tyler West pulled off a viral TikTok dance move on ITV chat show Lorraine in early November.

To execute the move - made famous on the video-sharing site - Vogue placed one foot on Tyler's foot and the other in his hand while she laid back and she managed to pull herself up using her core strength.

Vogue's fitness could be a huge asset for the Strictly festive episode and she heads into the Christmas special as the narrow frontrunner.

She is 13/8 favourite to win the Christmas Glitterball, but there is some stiff competition and she has down-played her prospects.

She said: "Carlos would have more of a chance of winning a Nobel prize than turning me into a good dancer, but I am determined to try my very best! I’m loving it so far, bring on the Ballroom floor."

History-Maker Tayce

Tayce - who is often dubbed the "Naomi Campbell of Drag" - will be swapping the runway for the dancefloor this Christmas and she will make show history by becoming the first drag artist to take part in the programme.

But the model and presenter isn't just on the show to take part, she appears to be in it to win it.

She said: "I cannot wait to sleigh on the Strictly Ballroom floor. My partner and I are going to dance for our lives!

"In all seriousness, it’s an incredible honour to be the first Drag artist to be taking part in Strictly Come Dancing.

"I hope I do all of my Drag Race and Welsh fans proud! Sign me up for all the glitz, glam and discoballs."

Tayce is 7/4 second favourite on betting apps, narrowly ahead of Olympian Harry (5/2), who looks set to be a serious contender on the dancefloor.

The Gladiators star, who is known as Nitro on the BBC game show, has vowed to bring the "power, energy and moves" to the festive special.

Harry said: "Nitro’s blasting onto the ballroom floor this Christmas!

"I’m swapping my trainers for dancing shoes, and trust me, I’m bringing the power, the energy and the moves!

"This December, I'm gonna light up that dancefloor and crank the Christmas spirit all the way up. Let’s do this!"

Tamzin's New Experience

Former EastEnders actress Tamzin Outhwaite is "so excited" about taking part in the festive episode, but admits it will be a "whole new experience" for her.

The stage and screen star said: "I’m used to performing in front of a live audience, but this is a whole new experience.

"I can’t wait to immerse myself in all things glitter and sequins, let’s hope the judges show Nikita and I some extra festive cheer this Christmas!"

Tamzin is 3/1 to win the Christmas Glitterball, just ahead of Billy in the outright market.

The racing driver and TV presenter, who had both legs amputated after he was critically injured in a high-speed collision while racing in Formula 4, is no stranger to competition success.

Recently, he beat the world record for a double amputee in the Ironman World Championships in Hawaii.

However, Billy has admitted Strictly is "about as far from my comfort zone as it can get".

He said: "I've spent the last 12 months training 20 hours a week for an Ironman world record attempt, but the thought of donning sequins in front of Craig Revel Horwood fills me with a fear I've never experienced before.

"This is about as far from my comfort zone as it can get!"

Billy also joked he hopes his leg "doesn't fall off mid-dance".

He is 4/1 to win the festive special, but comedian Josh is propping up the market at 6/1

The Taskmaster star is "utterly terrified" his Strictly stint will "end in humiliation".

He said: "[I'm] worried I’m going to be so bad I will ruin Christmas for the nation. Why have I done this?"

We will find out at some point in December.
