Rumors continue to swirl as the NBA Trade Deadline approaches. Teams have until Feb. 8 to make trades, and we expect plenty of rumors and proposals will be made leading up to the deadline.

We’re breaking down where some of the top trade targets could wind up and providing betting odds to highlight where each player could end up going.

There are three to four frontrunners for various players, and these are the ones worth tracking this NBA Trade Deadline Season.

And if you’re looking to broaden your betting horizons, make sure to explore our list of the best online betting sites in the U.S. for the latest insights and predictions on can't-miss games.

Kyle Kuzma

  • Wizards -200
  • Mavericks +250
  • Kings +500
  • Spurs +1000

Kyle Kuzma is set to be one of the most sought-after players in the NBA at the trade deadline. The Wizards are bad (7-35) and could sell off pieces of its core as Washington looks to rebuild. Kuzma is one of the more intriguing prospects at the trade deadline. The 6-foot-9 forward is a versatile scorer averaging 21.7 points, and 6.6 rebounds while making 45% of his field goal attempts.

But Washington could end up keeping Kuzma past the deadline, despite numerous teams inquiring about a deal around the Washington forward. No team has met Washington’s price of two first-round picks for Kuzma, and the high asking price makes it obvious Washington might not part with Kuzma after all.

It’s been reported Washington hasn’t been countering offers for Kuzma but has been taking calls. The organization’s stance could change closer to the deadline, but as it stands, we see the Wizards as the favorites to keep Kuzma past the trade deadline.

But if Kuzma is traded, we like the Mavericks as the favorite to secure him. Dallas has multiple first-round picks it could include in a trade for Kuzma. Adding Kuzma would give the Mavericks another elite scoring wing to work alongside Luka Doncic and Kyrie Irving. The Kings are another playoff contender that could also use Kuzma’s scoring versatility and is expected to be involved if Kuzma’s asking price is lowered.

Dorian Finney- Smith

  • Brooklyn Nets +150
  • Miami Heat +200
  • Dallas Mavericks +450

One of the other popular names around NBA trade deadline discussion is Nets guard Dorian Finney-Smith. As a 3-and-D wing, Finney-Smith is an ideal addition for a playoff contender. Finney-Smith is averaging 8.9 points per game while making 37% of his attempts from 3-point range. The Nets have posted a high asking price for Finney-Smith, with Brooklyn insisting on the equivalent of two first-round picks for Finney-Smith.

If a team is looking to secure Finney-Smith, we like the Heat to get involved. Miami showed its intent of bolstering its roster by securing Terry Rozier. Finney-Smith would give the team another shooting and scoring option.

A reunion with the Mavericks could also be in store for Finney-Smith. League sources have reported Dallas has been linked to numerous wings during the lead-up to the trade deadline, including Finney-Smith. Finney-Smith played seven seasons for the Mavericks and would be an ideal perimeter asset around Doncic and Irving.

If the Nets are set on holding off until they receive two first-round picks for Finney-Smith, we could see the veteran guard stay with the team past the deadline. Brooklyn could lower its asking price if no one is prepared to give away that much draft capital.

PJ Washington

  • Dallas Mavericks +150
  • Charlotte Hornets +275
  • Cleveland Cavaliers +500
  • Miami Heat +700

The Dallas Mavericks have made it known they’re seeking a forward at the trade deadline. Dallas was trying to secure Toronto’s Pascal Siakam before the Raptors sent him to Indiana. The Mavericks have also inquired about Washington’s Kyle Kuzma. Considering the Wizards are seeking two first-round picks for Kuzma, a more realistic option for Dallas may be Charlotte’s P.J. Washington.

Washington is averaging 12.7 points and 5.3 rebounds while making 42% of his shot attempts as they look to reach the NBA Finals. His ability to shoot from the perimeter would make him an ideal piece to add around center Dereck Lively in the frontcourt. Dallas has made it known it wants to add a forward, and Washington makes sense given his skill set and how he recently signed a three-year deal.

Charlotte has yet to start actively shopping Washington, so he could end up with the team past the deadline, depending on how active the Hornets are. At 10-32, Charlotte is essentially eliminated from the postseason and can blow up its roster.

The Cleveland Cavaliers are another team worth monitoring when it comes to Washington. Cleveland has been interested in Washington in the past, and the Cavaliers are set to make a postseason push, the Cavaliers could inquire about adding the versatile forward once again.

Miles Bridges

  • Phoenix Suns +125
  • Charlotte Hornets +200
  • Dallas Mavericks +700
  • Los Angeles Lakers +1200

The Miles Bridges trade discussion is in an interesting spot. When it comes to basketball, he’s one of the top trade targets. Bridges is averaging 20.9 points and seven rebounds per game, but he is currently serving three years of probation after he pleaded no contest in an alleged felony domestic violence incident from June 2022.

Every player outside of LaMelo Ball, Brandon Miller, and Mark Williams is reportedly available for trade on the Hornets. Terry Rozier was the first player to be moved, and Bridges could be next. Another interesting angle to the Bridges trade discussion is he would essentially be a rental for the rest of the season. The team that acquires Bridges won’t get his Bird rights, and Bridges would be free to walk at the end of the season to sign with a new team.

If there’s a team who would be willing to take on that risk, it could be the Suns. We’ve seen how committed Phoenix is to winning with the additions of Kevin Durant and Bradley Beal, and the team could take a one-year rental risk on Bridges considering what he would add to the team on the court. Whether that’s worth the off-the-court discussion remains to be seen.
