The NHL betting has nine games on Tuesday night, but games where the Canadian teams are home. Again, this could be a fun night with four teams in action. Talk about adventures for vastly different reasons.

How chaotic could Tuesday night be? Let’s find out!

Bienvenue Again Montreal!

It is nice to enjoy these games and relax. The Montreal Canadiens are far from a dull team; for that matter, the San Jose Sharks (when Erik Karlsson is on the ice) are much the same. Karlsson, a former Ottawa Senator, is on a crazy points run for a defenseman like Roman Josi was on last season. He has racked up 26 points in his past 15 contests.

Then, there are the Canadiens mentioned above. The Canadiens are a fun team that allows lots of shots from their “middle six.” This is something the Devils figure to exploit often. Montreal allows 33.3 shots per game but takes 12.4 penalty minutes per contest (29th in the league). Their lack of discipline might help San Jose offensively.

Both teams can easily score 3-4 goals; these matchups have been intriguing. Also, several of the previous meetings have gone to the Over. In this contest,  Kaapo Kahkonen is projected to start against Jake Allen. Check back on social media often for confirmation on the San Jose side.

Expect a more electric effort from both teams here. Montreal is on the fringe of the playoff race and would like to stay in as long as possible. San Jose is not very good, but Karlsson is showcasing himself phenomenally. Expect a few goals!

Florida Panthers at Calgary Flames

The most challenging game to gauge this night might be the one in Calgary between the Florida Panthers and the Calgary Flames. Barring something unforeseen, Jacob Markstrom will start against Sergei Bobrovsky.

It is early, but Florida needs to start winning games, and so does Calgary. Florida is just 10-8-4 and way behind Boston and Toronto. Calgary is a mere 9-9-3 yet a whopping 14 points behind Vegas for the top spot in the Pacific Division. That 5-1 start is a fading memory from what feels like months ago.

Florida keeps losing games they probably should win. Gee that sounds a lot like Calgary too. It is odd how two teams that looked so good made a massive trade with one another and now are just not the same.

Kindly note that the Over for Canadian Sports Bettors here is just 6.0. Jonathan Huberdeau and Matthew Tkachuk facing their former teams alone should have pushed this back to 6.5. However, that was not the case. At 1.87, see if there is an option to go up to 6.5, where the number is above two.

The fear of a three-point game is not easy to stomach also. This contest may feature minimal action other than on a few props and the Over, as mentioned earlier.

Colorado Avalanche at Winnipeg Jets

The game that expects to see some excitement is the Winnipeg Jets and Colorado Avalanche. Alexandar Georgiev expects to start against Connor Hellebyuck. Both teams are in a groove, with Winnipeg 7-3 in their last 10 while Colorado is 8-2 during the same span.

For those wondering, both goaltenders have ten wins on the young season. Georgiev has a sparking 2.25 goals-against-average, and a .933 save percentage. That comes with a 12.6 GSAA. Hellebuyck is in the top five among starters in that metric, too, at almost 11.

So, two teams that excel offensively are playing each other. Surprisingly, the Over is only 6.0. At 2.00, the 6.0 Over is worth a look. Do not get cute and tease the bets upward. Play it safe here. Again, look for some shot props later to shift in this game.

Some Picks To Consider

  • Montreal Canadiens Moneyline 1.87
  • Florida and Calgary Over 6.0 goals at 1.85
  • Canadiens and Sharks both score three in regulation, and Canadiens win at 6.75
  • Cole Caufield anytime goal at 2.50 or Nick Suzuki anytime goal at 2.75

Good luck, and once again, thanks for reading! We will have a few more plays on social media as conditions warrant.
