Nicky Henderson Runners Today
The six-time champion British jumps trainer has won each of the championship races (Champion Hurdle, Champion Chase, Stayers’ Hurdle and Gold Cup) at the festival at least twice and despite his poor stable form it will be quite the surprise if Henderson isn't amongst the winners again.
Henderson is only 7/4 with betting sites to train at least four winners at the 2024 festival so let’s take a closer look at his best chances of the week.

Jeriko Du Reponet - Supreme Novices’ Hurdle - 1.30 Tuesday
Jeriko Du Reponet has been the Supreme Novices’ Hurdle favourite for large parts of this season and although he is now around 9/1 with betting apps to provide his trainer with a sixth success in the race, he remains a horse of immense potential.
A point winner 12 months ago, he’s unbeaten in three hurdle races since switching to Seven Barrows, including the Grade 2 Rossington Main at Doncaster, form which has been boosted greatly by the runner-up since.
It is shaping up to be a strong Supreme but even so, Jeriko Du Reponet looks a massive player.

Jonbon - Champion Chase - 3.30 Wednesday
Jonbon has work to do if he’s to reverse last year’s Arkle Chase form with El Fabiolo but, if for whatever reason that rival doesn’t perform on the day, or Jonbon can post a slightly improved effort, then there is no reason why he can’t win the Champion Chase.
He’ll certainly need to cut out the jumping mistakes that cost him in the Clarence House Chase and there is an argument that he jumps Cheltenham less well than other tracks but, on pure ability, he will surely be the one to give El Fabiolo most to think about.
Sir Gino - Triumph Hurdle - 1.30 Friday
Sir Gino looks head and shoulders the best juvenile hurdler in training this season so it’s no surprise that he is an odds-on favourite in the latest Cheltenham odds for the Triumph Hurdle.
The unbeaten son of It’s Gino thrashed the previously impressive Burdett Road in the Triumph Trial at Cheltenham in January by ten lengths.
The way he bounded up the hill that day suggests we are dealing with a horse with the potential to go on and win multiple Grade 1’s in his career and it will be quite a surprise if his colours are lowered in the Triumph, especially as there don’t appear to be any outstanding juveniles in Ireland this year.

Shanagh Bob – Albert Bartlett Novices’ Hurdle – 2.50 Friday
This Grade One encounter has a wide open look about it, with betting apps offering 7/1 on the field at the time of writing for the Albert Bartlett Novices’ Hurdle.
While Dancing City and High Class Hero are among the favourites, there’s little to separate the leading protagonists and that includes Shanagh Bob.
The six-year-old has enjoyed back-to-back successes this year and the latest victory came in the Albert Bartlett Novices’ Hurdle in mid-December when obliging as the 15/8 favourite. A repeat success can’t be ruled out here.
Shishkin – Gold Cup – 3.30 Friday
Shishkin is not a horse that can be easily dismissed as he takes his chances in the Cheltenham Gold Cup, with Nicky Henderson hopeful that the 10-year-old can get the trip at Prestbury Park.
The bookies respect Shishkin to the extent that he is trading as third favourite behind Galopin Des Champs and Fastorslow, with the runner having won the Denman Chase over two miles, seven-and-a-half furlongs on heavy ground.
