Oscars Betting 2026: Michael B Jordan Odds-On For Best Actor, Sean Penn Cut

The Academy Awards are just days away, but there have been some late market moves on betting sites.
Sinners dominated the nominations with 16 nods, but the initial prices suggested the horror film might miss out on some of the major awards.
However, Michael B Jordan might have something to say about that.
Jordan To Reign Supreme
Sinners actor Jordan was a huge outsider to win this year's Best Actor accolade at the Academy Awards a few weeks ago, but he is now in pole position for victory.
Jordan is just 8/11 with BoyleSports to win the prize, and his main rival Timothee Chalamet has drifted from 1/4 to 7/4.
The Marty Supreme star - who won the Best Actor award at this year's Golden Globes and Critics Choice Awards - was as short as 1/5 to be this year's Best Actor earlier this year, and his nearest competition was veteran star and former Oscar winner Leonardo DiCaprio.
The One Battle After Another actor was an 11/2 shot to clinch victory, but he is now a massive 18/1 with Boyles.
Oscars 2026 Best Actor Betting Odds:
The Secret Agent's Wagner Moura has also drifted, to 25/1 with Ladbrokes from a previous best price of 10/1.
However, the Best Actress category looks more straightforward.
Hamnet's Jessie Buckley has shortened from 1/14 to 1/50 on betting apps, although she is as short as 1/100 in places to win her first-ever Academy Award.
It would be one of the biggest Oscars shocks of all time if Buckley lost out.
The Oscars 2026 Best Actress Odds:
Penn's Tough Battle
While DiCaprio looks set to miss out on the Best Actor award, his movie, One Battle After Another, is still odds-on to clinch the biggest prize of the night - Best Picture.
The Paul Thomas Anderson movie has slightly shortened to a best price of 1/3 with BoyleSports, from 4/11 a few weeks ago.
However, Sinners has been a positive market mover, with the horror flick into 11/4, from a best price of 7/2.
Oscars Betting 2026 Best Motion Picture Odds:
Anderson also looks set to scoop Best Director, at 1/16 with William Hill, and there could be further joy for One Battle After Another courtesy of Sean Penn.
The legendary actor was a 9/2 outsider to win Best Supporting Actor earlier this year, but he is into 2/5 favourite with BoyleSports.
That is bad news for Stellan Skarsgard.
Oscars Betting 2026 Best Supporting Actor Odds:
The Sentimental Value star was 8/11 favourite for victory last month, but he is now 5/1 second favourite.
Sinners star Delroy Lindo has emerged as 9/1 third favourite, and Penn's One Battle co-star Benicio Del Toro has drifted from 6/1 to 20/1.

Amy's Oscar?
There has also been a huge market move in the Supporting Actress category.
Amy Madigan won Best Supporting Actress at this year's Critics Choice Awards, but the Weapons actress lost out to Teyana Taylor for Best Supporting Female Actor in a Motion Picture at the Golden Globes.
Following Taylor's victory, she became favourite to win the accolade at this year's Academy Awards.
Madigan was 4/1 a few weeks back, but, with days to go until the Oscars are handed out, she is now the 6/5 frontrunner with BoyleSports.
Oscars Betting 2026 Best Supporting Actress Odds:
Taylor has drifted to 9/4 with William Hill, and she has another challenger to worry about.
Sinners star Wunmi Mosaku is 5/2 with Betfred to triumph, after she beat off competition from Taylor to win a Best Supporting Actress BAFTA last month.
Sentimental Value's Inga Ibsdotter Lilleaas had been favourite to win the BAFTA, but she lost out, and since then, she has drifted to 33/1 with William Hill to win the Supporting Actress accolade at this year's Oscars.
