Oscars Betting 2025: Conclave Close To Academy Miracle, Chalamet Against Brody

The 2025 Academy Awards will take place on Sunday and there has been some late movement on betting sites following the Screen Actors Guild (SAG) Awards.
Conclave was among the big winners on the night, taking home the night's biggest prize in the movie categories - Outstanding Performance by a Cast in a Motion Picture.
In the film, Ralph Fiennes stars as Catholic clergyman Cardinal Lawrence, who is responsible for selecting the next Pope, but he discovers shocking secrets and scandals about the candidates.
It had looked like Conclave might need a miracle to secure this year's Best Picture Oscar - but the movie is on the march after its SAG Awards success.
Other big winners on Sunday night include A Compete Unknown leading man Timothee Chalamet overcoming The Brutalist's Adrien Brody in the Leading Actor category.
Conclave's Glimmer Of Hope
While Conclave missed out on the main acting gongs at the SAG Awards, the movie has given itself a glimmer of hope of landing Best Picture at this Sunday's Oscars.
Conclave scooped Best Film at the BAFTA Film Awards and repeated the feat at the SAG Awards.
The two ceremonies are often good indicators of who might win Academy Awards, and following the SAGs, Conclave is the second favourite on betting apps to win Best Picture.
However, Anora, which claimed the Best Picture gong at this year's Critics' Choice Awards, remains favourite.
The screwball comedy, which stars Mikey Madison as stripper Ani, has drifted slightly to 4/7 with Ladbrokes from a best price of 2/5 last week.
But the movie's helmer, Sean Baker, still looks in pole position to win Best Director at this year's Oscars.
He is into 8/13 favourite from 10/11, ahead of second favourite Brady Corbet (6/4), who directed The Brutalist.
Chalamet Chasing Brody Down
The Brutalist stars Adrien Brody as Laszlo Toth, a Hungarian-Jewish architect and Holocaust survivor who immigrates to America, where he struggles until a rich client changes his life.
The movie was recently Evens favourite to clinch the main prize at this year's Oscars, but is now out to 13/2.
Brody remains favourite to win the Best Actor prize - but he is also on the drift.
Following Chalamet's SAG Awards triumph, Brody has been pushed out to 8/15 with Unibet, from 1/2 last week, while Chalamet is into 7/4.
He was 9/4 to win the prize last week, and it would be a brutal triple defeat for Brody's movie if it was to miss out on Best Picture, Best Actor and Best Director.
It won't win Best Actress either, because the movie doesn't have a nod in the category.
While Madison clinched the Leading Actress prize at this year's BAFTAs, The Substance's Moore has scooped the gong at the Critics' Choice Awards and last weekend's SAGs.
She secured her first-ever Oscar nomination for her portrayal of fading celebrity Elisabeth Sparkle - who turns to a mystery black market drug to create a younger, sexier version of herself called Sue - in the body-horror movie, and it looks set to land her an Oscar.
Moore is into 4/9 favourite with BoyleSports from 8/13 last week, to win the prize ahead of 9/5 chance Madison.
Congratulations Culkin
We may as well congratulate Kieran Culkin on his first-ever Academy Award now - because he looks almost unbeatable in the Best Supporting Actor market.
He won Best Supporting Actor at the SAG Awards, following on from his success in the same category at this year's BAFTAs and Critics' Choice Awards.
As a result, the A Real Pain star is into 1/33 with Coral to win the same prize at Sunday's Oscars.
A Complete Unknown star Edward Norton is Culkin's biggest competition at 14/1, but it's best to save your money.
There's a similar situation in the Best Supporting Actress category.
Emilia Perez's Zoe Saldana triumphed at the SAG Awards, BAFTAs and Critics' Choice Awards - and she's expected to add the Academy Awards to that list this year.
Saldana is 1/16 to land the Supporting Actress gong, ahead of Wicked's Ariana Grande, who has drifted to 10/1 second favourite from 8/1 last week.
