Prince Harry hasn't held back in comments about the Royal Family in recent years, but could a reconciliation soon be on the cards?

The Duke of Sussex stepped back from Royal Family duties in 2020 to start a new life in Los Angeles with his wife Meghan, the Duchess of Sussex.

They have since caused some controversy among Royal Family super-fans after their now-infamous tell-all interview with Oprah Winfrey, which featured several claims, including Meghan alleging Princess Catherine had made her "cry" over a flower girl dress ahead of her and Harry's wedding.

What's more, Meghan also claimed in the interview that during her time in the Royal Family there were "concerns and conversations" about "how dark" her then-unborn son Archie's "skin might be when he's born".

She didn't mention who had allegedly made the remarks, but it sparked a Palace witch hunt on social media.

Furthermore, Harry also spoke out about his family in a bombshell Netflix documentary series, and in his 2023 memoir, Spare.

The book featured several allegations about the Royal Family, including one claim that he and his brother, Prince William, once brawled over Harry's marriage to Meghan Markle.

However, there have been recent murmurings that Harry could be keen to build bridges, and there has been speculation on UK betting sites that he might reconcile with The Firm - but when?

Harry Back On Board Next Year?

There have been some positive signs recently that Harry could get back on board with the Royal Family.

It comes after a statement Harry made against the press in 2016 was deleted from the Royal Family's website, after being up for seven years.

Now, PR expert Ryan McCormick believes the Royals could be "laying the groundwork" for a reconciliation with the Duke.

Ryan told the Daily Mirror newspaper: "I wouldn't be surprised if there are other statements and information that have been quietly deleted or modified over the years.

"The reason for doing their part in deleting these negative digital footnotes is to distance and diminish their impact on public perception. The Royals may also be laying the groundwork for a future, full reconciliation with Harry."

Harry is 6/4 on specials betting sites to officially rejoin the Royal Family next year, and it is 3/1 he does so as early as this year, or he is 4/1 for a 2026 reunion.

In February, Buckingham Palace confirmed King Charles had been diagnosed with a form of cancer, and just days later Harry admitted such a tragic event could have a "reunifying effect".

He said on Good Morning America: "Look, I love my family. The fact that I was able to get on a plane and go and see him and spend any time with him I'm grateful for that."

When quizzed on whether an illness in the family could have a "reunifying effect", the Prince said: "Yeah, I'm sure. Throughout all these families I see it on a day-to-day basis the strength of the family unit coming together. I think any illness, any sickness, brings families together."

Harry's 'Fantasy' Reconciliation?

While Harry may be hoping to build some bridges, one so-called friend of the Royals recently told The Daily Beast that the Duke of Sussex reconciling with the Royal Family is a "fantasy" at the moment, and another pal told how the prospect of Harry and his kids visiting Balmoral this summer is "wishful thinking".

What's more, Royal photographer Arthur Edwards believes King Charles will have had "strong words" with Harry over some of the comments in his autobiography.

He also claimed to The Sun newspaper that Charles "couldn't easily forgive" Harry for comments about Queen Camilla, who Harry branded "dangerous" in the book.

Harry also wrote: "I had complex feelings about gaining a step parent who, I believed, had recently sacrificed me on her personal PR altar."

It is 8/1 on new betting sites that Harry doesn't ever officially rejoin the Royal Family.

While "never" is a long time, there have been plenty of claims thrown around since Harry departed The Firm four years ago.

However, if Harry doesn't rejoin the Royals in the next couple of years then he could still do so at a later date, when more water has passed under the bridge.

The Duke is 10/1 on betting apps to reconcile with his family in 2027 or later.
