How to Bet on Odds to Win the AFC North

Futures bets are wagers placed on events that will happen at some point later in the season, not a single game or performance. These are bets on a more significant outcome that have yet to be decided.

Futures odds are typically available before and during the season, but the odds are constantly in flux. They change based on what’s happening in and around the sport, including team performances, roster changes, injuries, etc.

How to Read AFC North Odds

You can change your odds format at most NFL betting sites depending on your preference.

As the name suggests, American odds are commonly used in the U.S., giving you a triple-digit or higher number with either a minus or plus sign.

The whole American odds (or moneyline odds) system is based on betting $100.

The numbers next to a minus sign (-) tell you how much you must bet to win $100. The plus symbol (+) beside the numbers tells you how much you can win by betting $100.

The negative sign indicates the favourite, while the plus sign points to the underdog.

AFC North Teams

  1. Baltimore Ravens

    Baltimore Ravens

The Ravens entered the league in 1996 following the relocation of the Browns’ franchise to Cleveland. Since its inception, Baltimore has been known for its defensive toughness, with Hall of Famers like Ray Lewis and Ed Reed, winning two Super Bowls since 2000. Since being drafted in 2018, two-time NFL MVP Lamar Jackson has made the Ravens one of the AFC’s top teams.

  2. Cincinnati Bengals

    Cincinnati Bengals

The Bengals are one of the only NFL franchises without a Super Bowl victory, though they’ve gotten close, winning the AFC in 1981, 1988, and 2021. Their most recent Super Bowl appearance came courtesy of QB Joe Burrow and WR Ja’Marr Chase, two LSU products who have given the franchise new life.

  3. Cleveland Browns

    Cleveland Browns

The Browns won four NFL championships before the Super Bowl era, led by legendary Hall of Fame RB Jim Brown. Since then, they have been defined by quarterback instability and poor win-loss records. In 2017, they finished the season completely winless (0-16). After securing back-to-back No. 1 picks (QB Baker Mayfield and DE Myles Garrett), the Browns finally snapped their 18-year playoff drought in 2021.

  4. Pittsburgh Steelers

    Pittsburgh Steelers

One of the original NFL franchises, the Steelers are among the most successful teams in league history. They’ve won six Super Bowls, four behind the punishing “Steel Curtain” defense in the 1970s and two more in the early-to-mid 2000s. Pittsburgh has produced some of the league’s top all-time players, including Joe Greene, Franco Harris, Terry Bradshaw, Jerome Bettis, and Ben Roethlisberger. The Steelers have not had a losing season since 2003.
