How to Bet on Odds to Win the AFC South

Futures bets are wagers placed on events that will happen at some point later in the season, not a single game or performance. These are bets on a more significant outcome that have yet to be decided.

Futures odds are typically available before and during the season, but the odds are constantly in flux. They change based on what’s happening in and around the sport, including team performances, roster changes, injuries, etc.

How to Read AFC South Odds

You can change your odds format at most NFL betting sites depending on your preference.

As the name suggests, American odds are commonly used in the U.S., giving you a triple-digit or higher number with either a minus or plus sign.

The whole American odds (or moneyline odds) system is based on betting $100.

The numbers next to a minus sign (-) tell you how much you must bet to win $100. The plus symbol (+) beside the numbers tells you how much you can win by betting $100.

The negative sign indicates the favourite, while the plus sign points to the underdog.

AFC South Teams

  1. Houston Texans

    Houston Texans

The Texans entered the league in 2002 as an expansion team, filling the void left by the Houston Oilers. As the newest NFL team, they have yet to experience sustained postseason success. They’ve made several appearances in the Divisional Round of the playoffs since 2011, but have yet to reach the AFC title game.

  2. Indianapolis Colts

    Indianapolis Colts

Previously known as the Baltimore Colts before relocating to Indianapolis under the cover of night, the franchise has been defined by a legacy of all-star quarterbacks, including Hall of Famers Johnny Unitas and Peyton Manning. Manning led the Colts to their first and only Super Bowl title in 2006.

  3. Jacksonville Jaguars

    Jacksonville Jaguars

The Jaguars were established as an expansion team in 1995. They had competitive spikes in the 1990s and late 2010s, but struggled between AFC championship appearances, and they have yet to reach a Super Bowl.

  4. Tennessee Titans

    Tennessee Titans

The Tennessee Titans began as the Houston Oilers in 1960 before moving to Tennessee and rebranding. Their only Super Bowl appearance came against the “Greatest Show on Turf” Rams, which they lost on the game's final play when WR Kevin Dyson was tackled one yard short of the end zone.
