NFC West Odds

How to Bet on Odds to Win the NFC West

Futures bets are wagers placed on events that will happen at some point later in the season, not a single game or performance. These are bets on a more significant outcome that have yet to be decided.

Futures odds are typically available before and during the season, but the odds are constantly in flux. They change based on what’s happening in and around the sport, including team performances, roster changes, injuries, etc.

How to Read NFC West Odds

You can change your odds format at most NFL betting sites depending on your preference.

As the name suggests, American odds are commonly used in the U.S., giving you a triple-digit or higher number with either a minus or plus sign.

The whole American odds (or moneyline odds) system is based on betting $100.

The numbers next to a minus sign (-) tell you how much you must bet to win $100. The plus symbol (+) beside the numbers tells you how much you can win by betting $100.

The negative sign indicates the favourite, while the plus sign points to the underdog.

NFC West Teams

  1. Arizona Cardinals

    Arizona Cardinals

You might be surprised to learn that the Cardinals are the oldest professional football franchise, originating in Chicago in 1898. While the team has had its ups and downs, it saw a modern-day resurgence with a Super Bowl appearance in 2008 behind quarterback Kurt Warner and wide receiver Larry Fitzgerald. However, they are still one of the only NFL teams with no Super Bowl victory.

  2. Los Angeles Rams

    Los Angeles Rams

The Rams have become known as a team on the move, punctuated by flashes of dominance. They began as the Cleveland Rams before moving to Los Angeles, St. Louis, and then back to L.A. in 2016. The 1999 “Greatest Show on Turf” Rams won an unlikely title behind undrafted QB-turned-starter Kurt Warner. The Rams became one of the only teams to win a Super Bowl in their home stadium when they defeated the Bengals in 2021.

  3. San Francisco 49ers

    San Francisco 49ers

The Niners, as they’re affectionately known, are one of the league’s most storied and successful franchises. They dominated the 1980s and early ‘90s, winning five Super Bowls between 1981 and 1994. Their West Coast offense, led by Hall of Famers Joe Montana, Jerry Rice, and Steve Young, set new standards for the league. San Francisco has remained a contending team since the 2010s, appearing in three Super Bowls since 2012.

  4. Seattle Seahawks

    Seattle Seahawks

The Seahawks built their modern identity under coach Pete Carroll after moving into the NFC in 2002. Behind the “Legion of Boom” defense and quarterback Russell Wilson, Seattle handily won Super Bowl XLVIII (2013) and returned the following year, narrowly losing to Tom Brady’s Patriots. Seattle’s passionate fans call themselves the “12s” and once cheered so loudly on a Marshawn Lynch touchdown run that it registered a slight tremor, which came to be known as “Beast Quake.”
