He often focuses away from the front end of the market, finding angles that aren't evident to most.

His profit and loss stands at -7.65 points from 39 points staked, with returns of 31.35 points.

Here are Rhys' four tips for Tuesday, using the most up-to-date odds from the best horse racing betting sites.

14:00 Wincanton: No Panic - 0.5pts Each-Way @ 50/1

Jeremy Scott’s horses have burst into life of late and I think that could see an improved performance from No Panic on his second start over hurdles.

On his hurdling debut at Exeter, his hurdling was novicey in the first half of the race, but he travelled well for a long way until fading between the last two hurdles and ended up being well held.

He needs to step up on that to be competitive in this, but he had shown ability when chasing home a good pair on his debut in a bumper last season.

The yard is now going better than it was when he made his hurdling debut and I wouldn’t be as surprised as the market if he did take a significant step forward. Any 25/1 or bigger appeals.

14:00 Wincanton: Trapper John - 0.5pts Each-Way @ 50/1

Trapper John makes his hurdling debut in the same race and I think he could run better than his big price suggests.

He looked a late developing type on the flat and was lightly raced in that sphere for a four-year-old.

After a break of over six months, he was beaten half a length at Catterick despite not looking suited by the track.

While he was beaten a long way last time at Newbury, he travelled strongly for a long way and was still in second with three furlongs to go before not seeing out the trip.

Physically, he looks the type who could take to hurdling and his dam was of a similar standard on the flat before going on to win three races over hurdles and was rated 128 in this sphere.

It might be that Trapper John doesn’t want the ground quite this testing and his head carriage under pressure at Catterick wasn’t too convincing, but he looks overpriced in a race that doesn’t have much strength in depth and any 25/1 or bigger appeals.

Rhys' Selection 2: 14:00 Wincanton - Trapper John - 0.5pts Each-Way

15:30 Wincanton: Sage Green - 0.5pts Each-Way @ 10/1

It’s no surprise there’s been early market support for Sage Green from some ridiculous initial prices and I think he’s still a little overpriced given the promise on his latest run at Cheltenham.

Despite it being clear that it was necessary to get on the outside rail and stay there on the hurdles track at that meeting, the decision was made to stay down the middle of the track.

After being held up, he gradually made headway and was still going well approaching two out, but his effort flattened out late on and he finished fifth.

Considering he was away from the favourable part of the track, I thought it was a very good run in the circumstances and a return to better form after a poor run on seasonal debut.

He does have to show that he can settle better without the hood on today, but this race looks a bit weaker than that Cheltenham race and any 8/1 or bigger appeals.

Rhys' Selection 3: 15:30 Wincanton - Sage Green - 0.5pts Each-Way

15:30 Wincanton: Cornish Storm - 0.5pts Each-Way @ 14/1

Cornish Storm bounced back to form with a return to far more positive tactics at Kempton last time, and a repeat of such tactics would make him look overpriced in this contest.

He was comfortable at Newton Abbot and Exeter when ridden patiently and was sent off a big price at Kempton, but ran much better than the market expected, with the more positive tactics clearly helping and the third has won since.

The slightly softer ground should be no issue to him and there should be the opportunity to repeat such prominent tactics today without too much pressure.

Any double-figure prices appeal.

Rhys' Selection 4: 15:30 Wincanton - Cornish Storm - 0.5pts Each-Way
