For our first spread bet, we're going to look to back the Milwaukee Bucks against the Detroit Pistons. The Pistons have been one of the worst teams in the league to start the season and have lost five in a row after winning two of their first three games.
We're going with Bucks -12 (-110) at FanDuel. Milwaukee has an advantage based on how MVP Giannis Antetokounmpo has dominated the Pistons recently. He's scored at least 28 points against Detroit in the last seven times he has faced the Pistons. During that span, Antetokounmpo has scored at least 30 points in five of those contests.
The Pistons may not be able to take advantage of a Bucks defense that is 25th in scoring defense. Detroit is just 21st in scoring offense (109.4) and 19th in effective field goal percentage (52.8%).
We expect another big win from the Bucks against a bad Pistons group.

Boston Celtics vs. Philadelphia 76ers Prediction & Odds

The Celtics are coming off their first loss of the season, falling 114-109 in overtime to the Timberwolves on Monday. Now Boston will look to bounce back against rival Philadelphia.
We like Celtics -2.5 (-108) at FanDuel. Both Jayson Tatum and Jaylen Brown are off to hot starts, and we expect that to continue against the 76ers. Brown has been on a roll, scoring 27, 36, 23 and 26 points in his last four games. Brown was also successful against the 76ers in last year's playoffs. In the second-game series, Brown scored at least 23 points in six of those games. Also, in the last two regular-season games against Philadelphia when Brown has had a normal workload, he's scored 26 and 35 points in those outings.
Tatum averaged 30.1 points per game last season on 46% shooting and his start in six games is even better than his career season, but he's been even better this season, averaging 30.5 points but shooting a career-best 55% from the field and 42% from 3-point range. With Boston's top two players rolling, we like the Celtics to win and cover this small spread.

We are going to back Houston tonight against the Lakers and like Rockets +3 (-110) at BetMGM. This matchup is already being hyped with Dillon Brooks set to face off against LeBron James once again. Brooks was one of the Rockets' top offseason acquisitions and has been solid, averaging 16.3 points while making 56% from 3-point range. He's already talking about locking up James in his first matchup against him this season.
A motivation factor could be at play in this matchup. The new Rockets core has more to prove and will put this game higher on a mantle than a veteran Lakers group that is more concerned about health and positioning itself for the postseason. We like the surging Rockets to cover in this spot and possibly pull off the upset win.
