Our experts consider DraftKings one of the most comprehensive and intuitive betting sites in Indiana. It's an industry-leading, data-driven site known for its consistency and is one of the most downloaded online betting platforms. Since launching in October 2019, this popular brand has been the state’s online leader in betting handles.
DraftKings boasts one of the most extensive betting menus on the market and the most impressive collection of player prop bets across all sports, covering superstars and backups. Live betting here is incredible, too. Odds are posted early and updated quickly, which is significant.
The desktop user interface design is excellent, with easy-to-see and navigate menus; however, it lacks a search bar, and the menus can sometimes feel cluttered. Online Indiana sportsbooks should offer a wide range of betting options and opportunities. We look for apps that offer or feature information related to Indiana sports teams. We look beyond moneyline, point spread, and total wagers to see what else is available, too.
Promotions
Promotions are a vital aspect of online betting apps, and we ensure you’re getting plenty of value from them by digging into the terms and conditions. We read the fine print to determine which sportsbook promos are the most lucrative and restrictive.
Payments
Indiana online betting sites should offer a range of payment options for deposits and withdrawals. We assess the variety of methods available, payout speeds, and overall ease of banking with a given sportsbook.
Customer Support
We engage with the support staff of sportsbooks to determine their response times.
Reputation & User Feedback
We verify whether apps offer SSL encryption and two-factor authentication, as well as other security measures in place. We scan real-player consumer reviews on the Apple App and Google Play Store to see what the public thinks of the platform.

How to Sign Up for an Online Sportsbook in Indiana
Indiana online sportsbooks make the sign-up process quick and straightforward.
- Select your online sportsbook of choice.
- You will be asked to provide some personal information, such as name, address, email address, and the last four digits of your Social Security number, which is required to verify a customer’s age and identity. Some customers will need to provide their entire SSN. This helps prevent underage players from gambling online and identifies other potential fraud.

Indiana Sports Betting Laws & Legislation
In 2019, Indiana became the 10th state to legalize sports betting.
House Bill 1015 designated the Indiana Gaming Commission to regulate and adopt rules for sports betting. Indiana's legal betting age is 21, and bettors must be physically in the state to place a sports wager.
The bill allows each land-based casino to have up to three partnerships (skins) with online sportsbooks. Only existing casinos, racetracks, and OTBs can accept legal sports bets in Indiana.
Betting is allowed on league drafts for the NFL, NBA, NHL, MLB, and WNBA. However, it is not permitted at high school or youth sporting events. Indiana law prohibits sports betting by student-athletes, NCAA staff, athletics department staff, game officials, and student managers and trainers.
The bill applies only to sports betting and does not allow any Indiana online casinos yet.
