The Astros got their all-star infielder back together, which has ignited their offense. Jose Altuve is batting .343 in May and the Astros are 15-4.

Their opponent tonight, the Cleveland Guardians, is 7-8 this month and will have to keep Altuve and his teammates off the basepaths if they aspire to win this game.

So, let’s take a look at the matchup to help with your MLB betting.

Pitching Matchup

Triston McKenzie starts for the Guardians and will be making his seventh start.

He has a 2.70 ERA and a 0.93 WHIP with nine walks and 33 strikeouts. He has averaged 5.5 strikeouts per start and has struck out four or more in each start.

McKenzie throws the fastball 62% of the time and averages 92 MPH with a terrible 23-degree launch angle and 93 MPH exit velocity.

The Astros are an excellent fastball hitting team and I wouldn’t be surprised to see them score eight or more runs in this game.

Luis Garcia will be making his eighth start for the Astros. He is 3-2 with a 3.34 ERA and a 1.062 WHIP with 12 walks and 41 strikeouts.

His team record is 5-2, making three units in profit per unit wagered and the Under has cashed in five of his seven starts.

Garcia will give up his share of runs, too. He is coming off a 5-1 loss at Boston, where he went four innings, allowed five runs — three earned — and three walks.

He has control issues, especially spotting the fastball because of the above-average amount of movement.

A Highly Profitable MLB Betting Angle

This betting angle has produced a 280-161 record on the moneyline, has averaged a -115 moneyline wager, for 64% winning bets and 101 units per unit wagered over the last 25 seasons.

The requirements are to bet on American League road teams starting a pitcher with an ERA of 3.20 and going up against an opponent with a starting pitcher whose WHIP is 1.100 or lower.

I am going to the betting window to bet Houston on the moneyline, at -185 as offered at BetMGM.

Other Bets I Like Today

Bet the Phillies Zack Wheeler Over 6.5 strikeouts at +100 at BetMGM Sportsbook.

Bet Austin Nola to get at least one hit at -165 at BetMGM.

Bet Harrison Bader to get at least one hit at -165 at DraftKings.
