Meet Caesars Sportsbook

Caesars Entertainment was formed in 1998 as a corporate spin-off of the gaming division of Hilton Hotels. Harrah’s Entertainment purchased the business in 2005 and took on the Caesars Entertainment name. By 2013, it had become the fourth-largest gaming company in the world, with annual revenues of $8.6 billion. It launched Caesars Sportsbook in a few different states after the Supreme Court overturned the federal sports wagering ban in 2018.

In 2020, Eldorado Resorts purchased Caesars for $17.3 billion, creating the world’s largest casino company. Once again, it decided to take on the Caesars Entertainment name. The company now has 55 casino properties spread across 16 states, including eight resorts on the Las Vegas Strip. Eldorado had previously worked with William Hill, which was the market-leading sportsbook operator in Nevada and had a significant presence across the country. In early 2021, the company decided to buy William Hill for $4 billion to capitalize upon the growth in U.S. betting industry.

All Caesars and William Hill customers are being transferred over to a new Caesars Sportsbook, which is essentially a rebranded and updated version of the William Hill sportsbook. The William Hill brand is being phased out, and the aim is to turn Caesars Sportsbook into the dominant force within the U.S. sports betting industry. As such, it has launched a huge welcome bonus and adopted a new strategy that places the bettor at the center of everything.

Register For a Caesars Account

You can sign up for an account at Caesars Sportsbook by following these simple steps:

  1. Click “Join Now” to bring up the registration form.
  2. Type in your email address and choose a password.
  3. Enter your name, gender and date of birth.
  4. Provide Caesars Sportsbook with your address and mobile number, choose security questions and answers and enter a bonus "GAMBLING".
  5. Confirm you are 21 or over, accept the terms and conditions, choose your marketing preferences and click “Join Now.”

A KYC process will be required to verify your account, but this should be quick and straightforward. If you have a Caesars casino account, you should login with the same details, as it will transfer over to the sportsbook. If you already have a William Hill account, it will eventually be migrated over to Caesars Sportsbook.

The sports betting experience will be almost identical, but with a new brand name, an improved skin, more lucrative bonuses and some of the best rewards in the industry.

Caesars Sports Welcome Bonus

Deposit Methods

You have a wide range of deposit methods to choose from at Caesars Sportsbook. It accepts Visa, MasterCard and Discover deposits, and it is also one of the few sites to welcome American Express payments. PayPal is accepted as a gambling payment method, or you can send an online banking transfer or use ACH e-check / VIP Preferred to fund your account. It accepts PayNearMe deposits too. Another option is to sign up for a Caesars Sportsbook Play+ card or to deposit cash at the casino cage at one of its many properties.

All deposits are free and instant at Caesars Sportsbook. The minimum deposit is $10 via any method. The maximum deposit varies depending on the method you choose. Caesars Sportsbook welcomes high bets, so contact the customer service department if you want to make a large deposit. The new Caesars Sportsbook now accepts higher betting limits after the William Hill takeover, so it is a great choice for players with large bankrolls.

Withdraw Your Winnings

To make a withdrawal from Caesars Sportsbook, click on “My Account” and select “Cashier” and then “Withdraw.” The minimum amount you can withdraw from your Caesars online sportsbook account is $10. If you want to withdraw a smaller amount, you can do so at the casino cage, where there is no minimum limit.

There is no official maximum withdrawal, so you can contact customer service to discuss large payouts. Your withdrawal options are ACH (e-check), PayPal or a Caesars Play+ card. Caesars Sportsbook advises customers that it will take three business days for PayPal and Caesars Play+ withdrawals to be processed and five business days for ACH withdrawals. That makes it a little slower than some of its competitors to pay its customers out.

Caesars Promotions & Offers

Caesars Sportsbook offers the largest welcome bonus in the sports betting industry. You can sign up for an account today and claim a risk-free bet worth up to $1,001. That is larger than anything else on the market. You simply need to register for an account, enter your Caesars Sportsbook promo code, make a deposit and place a wager of up to $1,001 on any sporting event. Regardless of wagers outcome you will be rewarded with a first bet match. These bonus funds have just a 1x rollover requirement, so any profit you earn will instantly be transferred to your general account balance and can be immediately withdrawn.

This offer is only for new users, so you cannot claim it if you have already signed up for a Caesars or William Hill account. You must also be in CO/IA/IN/MI/NJ/TN/VA/ or WV. Players in Illinois, Nevada, or Pennsylvania will not have access to this bet. Caesars online sportsbook has also launched several ongoing promotions for existing customers. They include free bets, profit boosts, and sport-specific bonuses such as Thursday Dingers for MLB betting fans. There are lots of online casino bonuses up for grabs too, so check out the "Promotions" section to learn more.

Caesars Sports Betting App

You can download the Caesars mobile app directly from the site or by visiting Google Play or the Apple App Store. It was initially a basic, stripped-back sports betting app, but now the Caesars Sportsbook Liberty App uses the sophisticated William Hill platform. The biggest difference will be an improved skin and new color combination. That means users can benefit from a strong user experience, simple navigation, a bet slip that populates effectively and a wide array of betting options displayed in a neat and tidy format. The Caesars Sportsbook app is highly-rated by users, and we were very impressed with its functionality when we tested it out for this review.

Caesars Rewards Program

Caesars Sportsbooks aims to offer the best Rewards program to bettors. Caesars Rewards Points will be available whether you win or lose. You will be enrolled in the Caesars Rewards loyalty program after you download the app or register for an online account via the desktop site. Caesars Sportsbook will issue you with a Reward Credit for every $5 you spend on sports bets, up to 10 times the original amount staked. You can move from Gold up to Platinum, and then Diamond, Diamond Plus, Diamond Elite, and finally Seven Stars. Your rewards will improve as you climb this ladder. Your loyalty points can be redeemed for free bets, plus hotel stays, shopping, dining, show tickets and spa visits.

Sports and Markets Available at Caesars

Sports to Wager on at Caesars

Caesars Sportsbook now covers a very wide selection of sports after taking over the William Hill sports betting platform. Football betting, basketball, baseball, hockey, soccer, tennis, golf and MMA are the main sports featured, and they are covered comprehensively. The old Caesars Sportsbook would only provide a few basic prop bets on NFL, NBA, MLB and NHL games, but you can now find more than 100 betting options on many big games. There are lots of alternative lines and totals, which is great, plus team props, player props, halves, quarters and periods. However, it lacks a same game parlay builder, but this is expected to be available soon. You can easily create round robins and parlays in the bet slip.

Caesars Sportsbook also covers popular European sports very well. Fans of soccer, snooker, darts, snooker, rugby league, rugby union and cricket should be impressed by the wealth of betting options at their disposal. It is also strong for tennis, golf, UFC and boxing, while slightly more niche sports like water polo, volleyball, Australian Rules, lacrosse, table tennis, cycling and handball are available too.

Caesars Odds

The odds at Caesars Sportsbook are competitive with those available at major rivals such as BetMGM Sportsbook and DraftKings Sportsbook. It charges standard vig on spreads and totals, so you will typically see -110 dime lines. Caesars Sportsbook does have a large team of in-house oddsmakers, and it takes some opinionated positions on moneylines and props.

You will sometimes see Caesars Sportsbook offering market-leading odds on one team and poorer than average odds on the other team, so it is worth opening an account with Caesars Sportsbook and another with a rival site to odds shop.

Types of Contests

Caesars Sportsbook has not offered many sports betting contests since it launched the mobile app. It provides some casino contests, but you will find more sportsbook contests at rival sites like DraftKings and FanDuel Sportsbook. However, that could all change in the future, as chief executive Tom Reeg has promised to invest more heavily in promotions to compete with its ambitious rivals.

Features at Caesars

While lacking a same-game parlay builder, Caesars does have a handful of features sure to appeal to bettors.

Streaming & Live Betting

There is a dedicated in-play betting section at Caesars Sportsbook, which features a strong user interface and lots of betting options on a wide array of sporting events each day. Live streaming is available on certain events, allowing you to watch the action unfold while considering your bets. On other games, you can enjoy live stats and play-by-play updates.

Cash Out

You can cash out your bet early at Caesars Sportsbook. This allows you to lock in a profit or cut your losses if you fear that the team or player you bet on will struggle in the rest of the match. The cash-out terms are relatively generous at Caesars Sportsbook.

You will receive daily odds boosts on a wide range of sporting events, covering football, basketball, baseball, hockey, soccer and UFC.

User Experience

The user experience at Caesars Sportsbook is very impressive. Navigation was simple and effective, the text is displayed clearly, and the layout is fantastic. Caesars has maintained that user-friendly format, but added more features, changed the color scheme, integrated the popular Caesars Rewards sports betting program, and produced a world-class wagering platform.

It is an immense improvement on the previous Caesars Sportsbook, which was a little basic by comparison. The search function works well, the bet slip is very effective and looks attractive. Rival sites provide stats and run lively blog sections, but you will not find that sort of content at Caesars Sportsbook, so that is another potential area for improvement, but overall, it is very impressive.

Caesars States of Operation

Caesars Entertainment is headquartered in Nevada and has a long history of running retail sportsbooks in the Silver State. It launched a mobile app in Nevada back in 2017, using sports betting technology from Miomni. Caesars Sportsbook then expanded into New Jersey, Pennsylvania and Indiana after PASPA, the federal sports wagering ban, was overturned in 2018.

In 2021, it completed the purchase of William Hill, which was available in Colorado, the District of Columbia, Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, Michigan, Mississippi, New Jersey, Rhode Island, Tennessee, Virginia and West Virginia. It has now converted William Hill to Caesars Sportsbook in all states except for Nevada. There it will remain William Hill. It should also be noted in Illinois and Tennessee, the actual name will be Caesars by William Hill. This is related to the market being tethered.

Caesars Tennessee Sportsbook

  • Availability: Online sportsbook, mobile betting
  • Land-Based Partner: n/a

Caesars Virginia Sportsbook

  • Availability: Online sportsbook, mobile betting
  • Land-Based Partner: Caesars has a master license

Caesars is one of the first online sportsbooks to go live in the burgeoning Virginia market. It has already proved popular with sports fans in the state thanks to its $1,001 risk-free bet bonus, the quality of the mobile app and the strength of the overall user experience.

Caesars Illinois Sportsbook

  • Availability: Online sportsbook, mobile betting
  • Land-Based Partner: Grand Victoria
  • License: Illinois Gaming Board

At this time, bettors in Illinois are required to register in person. Due to the tethered market, the $1,001 risk free bet is not available. There may be other offers by Caesars Sportsbook, so do take a look.

Caesars West Virginia Sportsbook

  • Availability: Retail sportsbook, online sportsbook, mobile betting
  • Land-Based Partner: Mountaineer Casino in New Cumberland

That has now been converted to the Caesars sports betting app and desktop site, which comes with improved bonuses, a loyalty program, a greater array of sports and lots of exciting betting markets.

Caesars Sportsbook Arizona

Caesars launched its online sportsbook in Arizona in August 2021 after securing a market access deal with MLB team Arizona Diamondbacks. It will build a flagship retail sportsbook at Chase Field in Phoenix and offer online sports betting across the state. Arizona sports fans will be offered a very large welcome bonus as an incentive to register with Caesars online sportsbook. $1,001 risk-free bet bonus is available in AZ.

Caesars Customer Service

You can benefit from 24/7 customer service via phone, email or live chat at Caesars Sportsbook. It is easy to access, waiting times are minimal and the level of customer service is very strong. We found the representatives to be very polite, helpful and knowledgeable when we tested it out for this review of Caesars Sportsbook.

Bet Responsibly

Click on the green “RG” at the top right of Caesars Sportsbook to access the responsible gaming section. It provides information about the steps you can take to moderate your gambling, such as deposit limits, spend limits and time limits, plus cool-off periods and self-exclusion. There is advice on how to spot problem gambling and how to prevent it, along with links to organizations that can help.

Our Expert Opinion on Caesars

Caesars pulled off a masterstroke in buying William Hill. It gained access to a wealth of sports betting expertise, which puts it in a great position to become one of the market-leading online sports betting sites in the country. You can enjoy the largest welcome bonus in the country, a great user experience, competitive odds on a wide array of sports, excellent customer service and access to the popular Caesars Rewards program, so it is a very compelling proposition. We would like to see Caesars Sportsbook offer a same game parlay builder, a stats hub and a few more betting options, but overall, it is an extremely impressive sportsbook.

Caesars Sportsbook offers competitive odds. They are rarely market leading, but they are generally average or slightly above average when compared with rivals such as BetMGM Sportsbook, Unibet Sportsbook and so on. The Caesars sports betting site takes standard juice on sides and totals, but you can find some interesting odds on moneylines and prop betting opportunities.
