StarGames Becomes Official PDC European Darts 2025 Partner
Online casino, StarGames, has been announced as an official partner of the Professional Darts Corporation European Darts Championship 2025.
The event will take place between October 23 and 26 at the Westfalenhalle in Dortmund and will feature some of the best players in the game.
The partnership ties together several of StarGames’ existing deals.
The online casino is the current sponsor of football club Borussia Dortmund and also counts German darts player Max Hopp as one of its brand ambassadors.
StarGames’ German Ties
StarGames is owned by Greentube, which is itself a division of Novomatic.
In February 2023, StarGames obtained a German licence enabling the company to offer slots to players in the German market.
In August 2024, the company further strengthened its ties in the country when it became a premium partner of the 2024 Champions League finalists Borussia Dortmund.
The company’s ties to Germany, and Dortmund in particular, help explain its latest partnership with the PDC European Championship 2025.
According to the new partnership, the StarGames logo will appear on players’ sleeves at the tournament in October and will feature prominently around the stadium.
Furthermore, the company will be offering challenges, activities and other dart-related events around the stadium.
The group has promised a surprise or two, citing their partnership with Borussia Dortmund.
Events will also include signings by German darts player Hopp.
Hopp was once considered the leading hope of German darts, winning the 2018 German Darts Open. However, a period of declining form saw him lose his tour card in 2023.
Brand manager, Laszlo Pados, said: “Darts in Dortmund, fuelled by StarGames, is a match made in heaven. As a partner of BVB and Hopp, it was clear that if the European Darts Championship comes to this city, we want to be there.
“We are looking forward to an exciting weekend full of darts action with the best players on the European Tour in the Westfalenhalle. Maybe the StarGames logo on the sleeve will bring players some extra luck.”
The PDC
The PDC tournament is an annual event held in Germany and features the top 32 players from the PDC’s European Tour Order of Merit.
The event started in 2008 and is considered one of the major European darts events held outside the UK.
Players will be competing for their share of a total prize pot of £500,000.
