UFC 270 Betting Picks This Weekend
UFC 270 returns as the first pay per view event of the year in MMA’s leading organization. The heavyweight title is on the line in the main event while the Flyweight title is on the line in the co-main. I have three picks for you this Saturday night and here I will explain why I have chosen them.
- Francis Ngannou vs Ciryl Gane:
The heavyweight title is on the line and I think it's going to change hands on Saturday. Ngannou is famous for his punching power winning his last five by KO or TKO on his way to the title but he lacks the skills in other areas. Cyril Game is a well rounded former kickboxer with hundreds of pro fights to his name who is much more agile and capable of fighting on the outside. For me Gane will do exactly that and look to frustrate Ngannou, dragging him into the later rounds and getting either a finish or win by decision in the fourth or fifth.
- Brandon Moreno vs Deiveson Figueiredo:
The third fight in an incredible trilogy where the first one ended in a draw and Moreno took the title in the second, it’s sure to be fireworks when they meet again. Both similar in their fighting styles this is by far the best match-up on the card for me. I think Figueiredo gets the decision win here as he makes the adjustments from the last fight and looks to wrestle more.
- Cody Stamann vs Said Nurmagomedov:
What I believe is the best pick of the weekend might shock you but I am going for Stamann in this one and let me explain why. Nurmagomedov is a favorite purely because of his surname. You read that right. Purely because he is the cousin of Khabib Nurmagomedov he is positioned as a favorite. Very different from his cousin, he likes to fight on the outside and uses his kickboxing more than his wrestling. Stamann on the other hand gets in your face and wrestles to grind out wins and I expect him to do just that here as I believe he is a potential top ten contender in the Bantamweight division.
