The Derby City Dynamite was founded in 2011 and began play in the WFA in 2012. Based in Louisville, Kentucky, the Dynamite's home venue is John Hardin High School in Elizabethtown.

The team's colors are black, red, and white, and they are currently headed by President TBanks and Head Coach M.Suber. The team's mascot is Dynamite Man.

The Dynamite's performance has varied over the years. In their inaugural season in the WFA in 2012, they had a balanced record of 4 wins and 4 losses. Their best performance came in 2014 when they had 6 wins and 4 losses, even making it to the National Conference Wild Card, where they lost to West Michigan. Unfortunately, the team had a challenging season in 2015, with no wins and 8 losses.

Racing Louisville FC

Racing Louisville Football Club is a National Women's Soccer League team based in Louisville, Kentucky. The team was founded on October 22, 2019, and began playing in 2021 at Lynn Family Stadium. The team is owned by Soccer Holdings LLC, which also owns Louisville City FC of the USL Championship. The club's name, Racing Louisville FC, was officially unveiled on July 8, 2020, and it references the city's horse racing venues, including the Kentucky Derby at Churchill Downs.

The club shares Lynn Family Stadium and its training facilities with Louisville City FC. The soccer-specific stadium, opened in 2020, has a seated capacity of 11,600, with standing-room capacity up to 15,304. The team's current head coach is Kim Björkegren.

As of April 25, 2023, the team's roster includes players from various countries, including the United States, Finland, Brazil, Denmark, South Africa, New Zealand, Northern Ireland, Australia, Nigeria, Jamaica, and China.

Boston Breakers (Dissolved in 2018)

One of the notable professional women's sports teams in Massachusetts was the Boston Breakers, a soccer team that competed in the National Women's Soccer League (NWSL). The team was founded on September 4, 2007, and played their home games at Jordan Field in Boston. However, the team was dissolved on January 28, 2018.

The Breakers had a rich history and made significant contributions to women's soccer. They replaced the original Breakers, who competed in the defunct Women's United Soccer Association, as the Boston area's professional women's soccer team. The team had several notable players, including Heather Mitts, Kristine Lilly, Angela Hucles, and Amy Rodriguez.

The team had a mixed performance throughout their existence. Their best season was in 2012 when they played in the Women's Premier Soccer League Elite and finished in first place with an 11–3–0 record. However, they did not qualify for the post-season playoffs in their final years in the NWSL.

Unfortunately, the Boston Breakers officially folded in 2018 due to failed attempts to sell the club and a lack of marketing and resultant limited fanbase.
