As part of an ongoing effort to increase awareness of its online casinos and sports betting offerings, LeoVegas has inked a multi-year front-of-shirt sponsorship deal with English third-tier side Blackpool.

The arrangement will see the logo for the well-known iGaming brand appear on the front of the Lancashire club’s first-team shirts for the entirety of the 2023/24 football season.

The alliance will allow the Swedish enterprise to market its casino site and sports betting product throughout the team’s 16,600-seat Bloomfield Road Stadium via pitch-side LED screens and static advertising boards.

Recent Reversals

Established 135 years ago and colloquially known as ‘The Seasiders’, Blackpool played in the top-flight Premier League as recently as 2011 but went on to suffer multiple relegations, including last season’s demotion back to the third-tier League One.

Blackpool, managed by former Aston Villa assistant manager Neil Critchley, are among the favourites to gain promotion back to the Championship and will be kicking off the 2023/24 campaign via an August 5 home tie against Burton Albion.

LeoVegas has previously inked advertising deals with Serie A giants Inter Milan as well as last season’s UEFA Champions League winners Manchester City.

The new alliance with lowly Blackpool is part of an ongoing effort to reach local and global audiences via partnerships with ‘prominent football clubs’.

Advancement Aim

The United Kingdom and Sponsorship Director for LeoVegas, Sam Behar, declared that he is ‘delighted’ to be working with Blackpool for the entirety of the 2023/24 season as both parties ‘share common values’ while possessing ‘a desire to grow’.

“Partnering with a club like Blackpool that has such a long-standing history in the game presents a fantastic opportunity for LeoVegas to promote the greatest iGaming experience across the United Kingdom,” Behar said.

Prominent Partnership

Jonty Castle serves as the Chief Operating Officer for Blackpool and he described LeoVegas as ‘a globally recognised brand’ that is to have its logo emblazoned on the front of his side’s latest strip, which has been specially crafted by Puma so as to mark 100 years of the club playing in its iconic tangerine colour.

“We are thrilled to welcome LeoVegas on board as a new principal partner ahead of the upcoming season,” Castle said.

“To be associated with LeoVegas on the front of all first-team and replica adult shirts is an exciting opportunity for the club and provides the potential for greater international exposure.”
