Gavin & Stacey Odds: Film Price Cut As Alison Steadman Drops Huge Movie Hint

The Gavin & Stacey finale was the talk of Christmas evening last year, and there's still plenty of chat about it now.
Several stars of the BBC One sitcom are still being asked about potential spin-offs or the continuation of the much-loved programme, sparking some changes to such markets on betting sites.
Almost a month after the finale was aired, a massive 20.9m viewers had watched it, making the episode the BBC's biggest scripted show since modern records began in 2002.
It's no wonder fans are desperate for James Corden and Ruth Jones' brainchild to hit a screen of some sort again soon.
But will it ever happen?

Pam Heads To Hollywood
Well, Gavin & Stacey co-creators James and Ruth have dropped strong hints they will write together again at some point.
Talking about a potential spin-off, James said on the Table Manners podcast: "We don't know if we have another idea in us, but I can honestly say that if we didn't attempt to try and even explore the idea of writing together then I'd be so disappointed."
Ruth added: "I couldn't bear it. I love being in the room with James, it's so fun."
And speculation about a potential Gavin & Stacey film just won't go away.
The flames were fuelled once again in recent weeks by none other than Alison Steadman, who plays Gavin's mum, Pam Shipman.
Alison told the Daily Star Sunday newspaper: "I’d love it if a film of Gavin & Stacey came up. If it did, I’d definitely be up for that.
"I think it would work as a film, too. Ruth Jones and James Corden are such brilliant writers. I’m sure they could make it work."
Alison's on-screen husband Larry Lamb, who portrayed Gavin's dad Mick Shipman, hasn't ruled out the possibility of Gavin, Stacey, Nessa, Smithy and co hitting the big screen.
When asked about a Gavin & Stacey movie, he said on the White Wine Question Time podcast: "Who knows? Never say never."
A Gavin & Stacey film is now Evens favourite on betting apps to be James and Ruth's next project.
Ruth's BAFTAs Farewell
Another episode of the regular Gavin & Stacey series does look unlikely.
Lamb has insisted the show as we know it is now "done" and that it provided him with "a sense of relief and a sense of contentment".
He also said: "It was the most extraordinary experience of my life, going through the whole of that and then, particularly, that end. It was just amazing.
"I was never convinced that it was going to be the end [but] now that it's all done... I feel no frustration about wanting to go on with it."
James and Ruth have also said they couldn't possibly add to the TV show after three series and a hat-trick of specials, because of the way it ended in the finale - with Nessa and Smithy finally hooking up for good.
Ruth deservedly scooped the Best Female Performance in a Comedy prize at this year's TV BAFTAs in May, and she admitted the gong was a "lovely way to say farewell to the show".
She told BBC Radio Sussex: "I was very shocked to have won. I took my shoes off and thought I was in for the night. I had to go up on stage barefoot.
"It was a lovely farewell."
Odds of 1/2 are available that we never get to see another regular Gavin & Stacey TV episode again.
But could a spin-off be on the cards?
Pam And Mick Are The New Favourites
It's just 8/11 for a spin-off series to materialise at some point.
Pam and Mick are the new 6/4 favourites to be the main subjects - following Alison and Larry's comments about potentially appearing in a Gavin & Stacey movie.
Gavin & Stacey Odds: Will There Be A Spin-Off Series

In January, it was said BBC bosses were "living in hope" that a Gavin & Stacey spin-off emerged one day.
A TV source told The Sun newspaper: "James and Ruth are adamant this is the last of Gavin and Stacey. But, when a programme achieves such results, execs will always hope for more.
