Kentucky vs. Georgia, Predictions, Betting Tips

Kentucky taking on Georgia is one of the marquee games of the week. Both teams enter with 5-0 records after taking care of a soft nonconference schedule before scoring SEC victories. As it stands, Georgia is favored at -14.5, but we're going the other way with our spread bet.

We're going with Kentucky +14.5 (-110) at BetMGM. If you're into betting trends, then you'll like to know Georgia is 0-5 against the spread this season. Meanwhile, Kentucky is 4-1 against the spread this season and coming off an impressive 33-14 win over the Florida Gators.

One of the main reasons for Kentucky's success was the performance of running back Ray Davis who finished with 280 yards rushing and three touchdowns. The Wildcats rank first in rushing explosiveness after recording six runs of at least 15 yards against Florida. There's enough data to be confident in Kentucky continuing its success on the ground versus Georgia. The Bulldogs have given up 19 rushes of at least 10 yards and rank 38th in Defensive Rush Expected Points.

Georgia's defense overall ranks just 22nd in success rate allowed, 50th in havoc and 35th in finishing drives. This is not the caliber of defense that we saw from the two national-title-winning teams. Expect Kentucky's offense to have enough to keep this within the number.

⭐  Kentucky +14.5 (-110) at BetMGM

Kentucky vs. Georgia Picks & CFB Player Props

Brock Bowers Over 75.5 Receiving Yards (-110) at FanDuel

When Georgia needs a big play, it still continues to feed tight end Brock Bowers. In last week's 27-20 win over Auburn, Bowers finished with eight catches for 157 yards and a touchdown. We're going to target Bowers' player prop against Kentucky.

We like Brock Bowers Over 75.5 Receiving Yards (-110) at FanDuel. The Georgia tight end has been on a tear. In addition to last week's performance against Auburn, Bowers went off for 121 yards on nine catches against UAB. Through five games this season, he has 30 catches for 413 yards.

It's hard to know what kind of defense Kentucky has considering the weak schedule through five games. But Bowers has been a clear favorite target for Carson Beck, and given how he's had over 270 yards the last two weeks, we feel confident int making the over on his receiving prop against Kentucky.

⭐ Recommended Bet: Brock Bowers Over 75.5 Receiving Yards (-110) at FanDuel

⭐ Ray Davis Over 71.5 Rushing Yards (-114) at FanDuel

Ray Davis had a career day for Kentucky in the team's 33-14 win over Florida. Davis finished with 280 yards rushing and scored three times, including a 75-yard run. We expect Davis to continue his strong showing against No. 1 Georgia.

We like Ray Davis Over 71.5 Rushing Yards (-114) at FanDuel. Georgia's run defense hasn't been as strong as the two previous national title-winning teams. The Bulldogs have given up 19 rushes of at least 10 yards and rank 38th in Defensive Rush Expected Points.

Meanwhile, Kentucky ranked first in rushing explosiveness thanks to Davis' 280-yard day against the Gators. Davis had six runs go for over 15 yards, and considering Georgia's vulnerability against the run, we like Davis to clear this prop.

Best Betting Pick: Ray Davis Over 71.5 Rushing Yards (-114) at FanDuel
