MLS Picks for Matchday 39 Including LA Galaxy vs. Real Salt Lake Prediction

Best MLS Betting Tips and MLS Predictions Today, October 15

There are just three MLS games going down this weekend with an international break across world soccer taking center stage until next weekend.

However, we’re still here for our MLS picks and the MLS best bets from the best online betting sites for this matchday.

The New England Revolution is at Nashville for one of the games, as two of the Eastern Conference giants look to put a marker down on the MLS Cup - Nashville is +900 to beat New England 2-0 at DraftKings.

Dallas also has what looks like an easy game against the terrible Colorado Rapids at home, and it should grab all three points in convincing fashion - Dallas to win 2-1, 3-1 or 4-1 is +320 at FanDuel.

The third and final game of our MLS predictions today and MLS picks sees Real Salt Lake at LA Galaxy, where RSL looks to all but secure a spot in the top seven this year with a victory in California - Salt Lake is +290 to win and concede at least one goal at Caesars.

Nashville vs. New England Predictions, Odds & Tips

⭐ MLS Best Bets #1: Nashville to beat New England 2-0 (+900) at DraftKings

We start our MLS predictions today with the only Eastern Conference battle, as Nashville looks to move further up the table in the Eastern Conference with a spot in the top seven playoff positions already sealed.

Heading into this game, Nashville is five points clear of Montreal in eighth with just one game left to play for the latter. This means Nashville will be at the playoffs for the fourth year in a row since moving into the MLS four years ago.

As New England is six points above Nashville, that also means it has already secured its spot in the playoffs too. In fact, a place in the top seven has been mathematically sealed for weeks for the Revs, and their final two games are merely about jumping above Philadelphia Union in third.

It’s not a pointless match, per se, but with the final series positions already secured, there is little on the line here. With this in mind, we’re going for a casual home win.

Hany Mukhtar is also aiming for another MLS Golden Boot, and he has 15 goals so far and will no doubt get chances for a 16th in this match.

Dallas vs. Colorado Predictions, Odds & Tips

⭐MLS Best Bets #2: Dallas to beat Colorado 2-1, 3-1 or 4-1 (+320) at FanDuel

While there is very little to play for in the Eastern Conference, there is still so much to work out in the Western Conference. Much of this involves the chaotic season of Dallas, as it can still end up finishing as low as 11th but can also finish as high as fifth in the final two games of the regular season.

Simply put, for it to get into the final series, Dallas must win at least one of its final two games and hope those around them lose too. With this in mind, the MLS odds for its game against the dreadful form of Colorado see it at -230 to win.

Colorado has not had a chance to get into the playoffs for months and it now sits 16 points adrift of Dallas in the last final series spot of eighth. This obviously bodes well for Dallas, as the Rapids have now lost 16 games and conceded a stunning 52 goals in just 32 matches. In fact, it is guaranteed to finish in last place in the Eastern Conference this year.

Although Dallas should make it to the final series playoffs at least, it will want to avoid that and move into the automatic final series spot by grabbing a win here. Should it do so, fate is then in its own hands, making this game undoubtedly the biggest of the season for Dallas.

LA Galaxy vs. Real Salt Lake England Predictions, Odds & Tips

MLS Best Bets #3:  Salt Lake to beat LA Galaxy and BTTS (+290) at Caesars

The third and final game of the weekend also has a lot riding on it, but for only one team, as LA Galaxy’s hopes of a spot in the final series faded last weekend.

The Galaxy were battered 5-2 at Minnesota United in that game, and it now leaves it seven points behind the top eight with only six left to play for. This means they have now finished outside of the playoff spots in four of the past five seasons, marking their worst-ever MLS run across this time period.

In fact, not only is it LA Galaxy's worst run across five years, this is also set to be its worst season in MLS history, having never finished below 22nd in the Supporters' Shield final standings since its inaugural year of 1996. It is currently sitting in 26th.

As for Salt Lake, it is in sixth in the Western Conference with a gap of three points on San Jose Earthquakes in eighth, meaning a win here would mathematically secure its spot in the final series with a game left to spare, regardless of what happens in any other matches.

RSL can also still move into as high as second, but it would need four teams to lose the final game and win both of its own at the same time.

Nevertheless, given how the Galaxy has nothing to play for and how Salt Lake needs a win to seal a top seven spot, our MLS picks tips an away win.
