13:25 Huntingdon: Malfoy Manor - 1pt Win @ 7/2
Malfoy Manor finished well beaten last time but he showed far more than the margin beaten suggests and I think this scenario could bring out the best in him.
He showed some promise on stable debut at Fontwell when making up plenty of ground from the back of the field to be in contention turning the final bend before dropping away.
He was given a wind op after that and there was a big change in tactics at Warwick when making the running.
He went a good pace from the off and regularly jumped out of the right. He was still in front jumping three out but once coming under pressure turning the bend, he faded quickly and finished well beaten.
I think the return to a shorter trip and the switch to a right-handed track is a positive for Malfoy Manor and the application of cheekpieces for the first time could help him too if they look to repeat the tactics of last time.
The ability he showed in points and at times for his previous yard suggests he has the potential to be better than a mark of 99 and any 3/1 or bigger appeals.
