Rhys Williams' Daily Horse Racing Tips: 1 Selection For Thursday

He often focuses away from the front end of the market, finding angles that aren't evident to most.

13:07 Ludlow: Idaho Fire - 1pt Each-Way @ 16/1
Catchintsavo may be too good for these if repeating the quality of his latest run, but I think the market is underestimating the chance of Idaho Fire being a danger to him.
He made a promising start to his career when second in a maiden point at Maisemore.
I expect the winner of that race will be towards the head of the market if he lines up at Navan on Sunday, while the third was a wide-margin winner of a maiden next time and Codetalker, who fell at two out, has since won under rules.
Idaho Fire only managed to finish seventh on his rules debut in a bumper at Newton Abbot, but that effort looks better now than it may have done at the time.
The winner and third have since won maiden hurdles, the fourth was second to Bass Hunter in a Listed bumper at Ascot, the fifth was narrowly beaten on hurdling debut and the sixth won a bumper next time.
It was concerning that Idaho Fire hung right-handed throughout that day having shown no such tendencies in his point, but at least he’s now going the right way around if he is to repeat that.
This also looks an ideal trip for him to be starting off over hurdles and it doesn’t look a particularly deep race in quality.
