Rhys Williams' Racing Tips: 1 Selection For Thursday
Horse racing expert Rhys Williams is sharing his best selections for the Cheltenham Festival.
Rhys has been a racing analyst for over 10 years, working for At The Races and most recently as a tipster for Betfair where his tipping column had a 31% ROI over four and a half years.
He often focuses away from the front end of the market, finding angles that aren't evident to most.
Thanks to last week's 50/1 winner at the Cheltenham Festival (Apolon De Charnie), Rhys has returned a profit of 88.43 points and his profit and loss record for the year stands at +13.43 points from 75.5 points staked.

17:25 Newcastle: Toronto Raptor - 0.5pt Win @ 22/1
Toronto Raptor hasn’t won in 18 starts, but I think he has a better chance of making it 19th time lucky in the opening race at Newcastle than the market suggests.
He ran an eyecatching race off a 4lb higher mark over course and distance in September when he travelled strongly into contention on the near rail, but he could never get a clear run in between the leading line and finished fifth.
His next two runs were poor, but he showed a bit more encouragement last time with the blinkers back on at Wolverhampton.
Having been held up, he had to wait for a clear run early in the home straight before making a little late headway into seventh.
That race was dominated by those who raced handily and Captain Pickles, who was also ridden patiently and finished one place ahead of Toronto Raptor, won next time.
It may be that this level is a bit too strong for Toronto Raptor, but I can’t let him go unbacked at this price - back at a track that I think will suit him and with the yard going so well of late.
