13:15 Fairyhouse: Ziso - 0.5pt Win @ 33/1

Ziso was well held on her debut in a bumper but that was a higher quality field than the one she faces today on her hurdling debut and I think the market is underestimating her chance of making a winning start in this sphere.

She raced prominently for much of the race at Navan on her debut before being shaken along and outpaced as the tempo lifted turning into the home straight.

She looked like she might drop away completely at one stage but, despite showing greenness and edging to her left under pressure, she kept responding and plugged on to finish seventh.

It may be that Ziso will want further than the two mile trip she races over today but the ground seems ideal for her and there’s nothing of the quality of Oh My Word up against her today.

Her stablemate was an obvious eyecatcher on debut and has unsurprisingly found her way to the head of the market, but I think Ziso is capable of running well at a big price if at least jumping adequately.

Any 16/1 or bigger appeals.

Rhys' Selection 1: 13:15 Fairyhouse - Ziso - 0.5pt Win

15:30 Fairyhouse: Elusive Guy - 0.5pt Win @ 28/1

Elusive Guy was in trouble from an early stage and ended up being pulled up on his latest start, but I think the switch back to hurdling can see him in a much better light this afternoon.

He jumped terribly over fences at Down Royal last time and it strikes me that he’s just not a chasing type at all so the return to hurdling will help his cause.

He ran well on a few occasions on testing ground over hurdles last season including when third behind Mickie Angel in a division of this race.

That horse was put up 11lb for winning that day while the runner up in now rated 20lb higher over hurdles, so Elusive Guy has the potential to be well treated running off a 3lb lower mark than he did that day.

His only runs over obstacles this season have been over fences, so they are easily forgiven and his run on the flat at Thurles in October showed that he at least retains some ability.

It may be that the application of blinkers for the first time will help him too, given he didn’t travel well last time and any 16/1 or bigger appeals.

Rhys' Selection 2: 15:30 Fairyhouse - Elusive Guy - 0.5pt Win

20:00 Wolverhampton: Rotokura Belle - 0.5pt Win @ 28/1

Rotokura Belle makes her first start as a three-year-old in this five-furlong handicap and I think the market has overreacted to her defeat at Newcastle when last seen.

She raced too keenly that day and I think the six furlongs wasn’t ideal for her and her jockey reported afterwards that she ran flat.

Prior to that, she won with plenty in hand over five furlongs at Southwell when, as long as she got a gap, she looked to have the race won from around one and a half furlongs out.

Rotokura Belle did get the room she needed with a furlong to go and picked up well to win comfortably.

I think the return to the minimum trip will suit on her return to action, and being drawn in stall three will hopefully allow her to get a good position tracking the leaders towards the inside.

It may be that she will need the run after a break and she has to show that she has trained on, but I think the market is overlooking her chance and any 16/1 or bigger appeals.

Rhys' Selection 3: 20:00 Wolverhampton - Rotokura Belle - 0.5pt Win
