Rhys Williams' Racing Tips: 2 For Tuesday (And Lockinge Stakes Ante-Post Tip)

Horse racing expert Rhys Williams is sharing his best selections for today's racing.
Rhys has been a racing analyst for over 10 years, working for At The Races and most recently as a tipster for Betfair where his tipping column had a 31% ROI over four and a half years.
He often focuses away from the front end of the market, finding angles that aren't evident to most.
Rhys' tips have returned 234.53 points from 149 points staked, meaning his profit and loss record stands at +85.53pts overall - thanks to a sensational recent spell that includes a 33/1 and a trio of 28/1 winning selections last week.
Here are Rhys' tips for today - plus his ante-post Lockinge Stakes selection, using the most up-to-date odds from the best horse racing betting sites.

19:50 Lingfield: Ghisa - 0.5pt Win @ 13/2
Ghisa’s price has been Hugh Taylor-ed to some degree this morning, but I think she’s still a little overpriced on her return to racing in Britain.
She was better than the bare result in both victories on the all-weather, when trained by Ollie Pears and being very green on debut when winning at Wolverhampton and not getting a clear run when following up under a penalty at Southwell.
Ghisa was bought following that second victory and joined Charlie Fellowes.
Her three runs for Fellowes so far have all been at Meydan and the dirt was clearly unsuitable on the first of those.
She ran respectably on both runs on turf, facing a very stiff task in the first of them and racing a bit keener than ideal in the second.
The likely good pace in this race will hopefully help combat the concern over her racing too keenly again today on her return to racing in Britain, and I think the switch back to an all-weather surface is helpful to her cause too.
It is slightly concerning that a tongue tie has gone on for the first time, but I think there could be more to come from Ghisa on this surface
Any 6/1 or bigger appeals.
Rhys' Selection 1: 19:50 Lingfield: Ghisa - 0.5pt Win
19:50 Lingfield: Cloudbuster - 0.5pt Win @ 50/1
In the same race, I think Cloudbuster is another who will be helped by the likely good pace, and she has a better chance than her big price suggests.
She put together a string of good efforts over five and six furlongs, before being stepped up to seven furlongs for her final run of last season in a valuable series final at Goodwood.
She was held up and looked a shade uncomfortable around the bend.
When initially looking to make headway with around three furlongs to go, she couldn’t get a clear run and only after being switched on multiple occasions did she finally get a clear path in the final furlong, after which she made late ground to finish sixth.
The first four home that day were all ridden handily, and I thought Cloudbuster arguably ran at least as well as Della Pace, who finished one place ahead of her and contests the Musidora tomorrow.
It might be that Cloudbuster will need her first run back after a break of 230 days, or that she might be best when getting on a straight track on turf.
However, she looks overpriced in a race of this level and any 16/1 or bigger appeals.
Rhys' Selection 2: 19:50 Lingfield: Cloudbuster - 0.5pt Win
Lockinge Stakes (Newbury, Friday 14:35):
Sahlan - 1pt Each-Way @ 14/1
Sahlan finished behind Notable Speech and The Lion In Winter when last seen at the Breeders Cup, but I think he has the potential to reverse that form in the Lockinge on Saturday.
He got a bit upset in the stalls at Del Mar and didn’t look at all suited by the track, being shuffled back around the final turn before running on to finish fifth while carrying his tail awkwardly.
Prior to that, he put up an excellent performance when winning the Moulin at Longchamp, holding off the late challenge of Rosallion and finishing ahead of the The Lion In Winter.
Given his gradual improvement last season, I’m hopeful that there will be more to come from Sahlan, and I think this straight mile will be a far more suitable test for him than Del Mar.
There is the slight concern that he doesn’t have the benefit of a recent run that others do, but I think the market is overlooking his chance and any double-figure prices appeal.
Rhys' Lockinge Stakes Ante-Post: Newbury (Friday 14:35): Sahlan - 1pt Each-Way
