Rhys has been a racing analyst for over 10 years, working for At The Races and most recently as a tipster for Betfair where his tipping column had a 31% ROI over four and a half years.
He often focuses away from the front end of the market, finding angles that aren't evident to most.

15:25 Chepstow: Galop De Chasse - 0.5pt Win @ 17/2
It may be that Galop De Chasse is completely gone having shown so little in his final four starts of last season but he has an excellent record when fresh, and I’m hoping he can add to that on his first start after a 252-day absence.
He won off a 1lb lower mark at Newbury on what turned out to be his only start of the 2023/24 season, when returning from 215 days off and then finished second to Genois when next seen at Wetherby after nearly a year off the track.
Galop De Chasse has looked awkward in the preliminaries at times and that was the case when he finished third to Le Patron at Newbury after playing up at the start and being a bit slowly away.
It may be that those antics were a sign of what was to come for the rest of the season, as his form fell off a cliff and he generally looked disinterested in racing.

I’m hoping that the break has done him some good and that he can show he still retains the ability that he had at the start of last season.
He’s now off a 9lb lower mark than when finishing third at Newbury and although I’m not completely sure this track will be ideal for him, he looks a little overpriced.
