College World Series Launches Summer Sports Stretch

The 64-team hunt for the 2025 NCAA college baseball championship begins with regional action on Friday, May 30, launching a summertime stretch of high-interest sporting events.
In addition to the College World Series regionals beginning May 30, the NBA and NHL playoffs are underway. Deeper into the summer, the NFL preseason kicks off with the Hall of Fame Game between the Los Angeles Chargers and Detroit Lions in Canton, Ohio, on July 31.
The Major League Baseball regular-season schedule offers fans and bettors constant viewing and wagering options throughout the summer and into the fall.
In the late summer and early fall, the college football and NFL regular seasons kick off, with MLB's World Series adding to a busy autumn.
Top 16 NCAA National Seeds
The 2025 chase for the NCAA baseball title starts Friday, May 30, with regional rounds at the home sites of the Top 16 seeds. Each regional features four teams.
The regional winners move on to eight Super Regionals, with the top eight teams advancing to the College World Series in Omaha, which starts Friday, June 13.

Betting is Legal In Most States
The Southeastern Conference dominates the Top 16 list. The first four teams and half of the Top 16 are from the SEC. In all, 13 SEC teams are in the regionals.
While sports betting is illegal in some SEC states with teams in the Top 16—Texas, Alabama (Auburn), and Georgia—bettors in those states can cross into neighboring states where wagering is legal.
