Online Casino Gambling in Delaware

Social Casino Offers Only Available

Online casino games in Delaware are fully legal, unlike sports betting through the internet.

The Delaware Lottery oversees three online casino sites, each representing one of the state’s three land-based casinos, and eligible players are able to enjoy all three offerings. Delaware iCasinos include slots, as well as a full array of table games such as blackjack and roulette.

The First State has long maintained its reputation for most forms of gaming. This is the case for its real money online casino sites, which were among the first to be legalized in America.

With a history of progressive online casino gaming already, Delaware is positioned as an innovator in the industry. Gambling.com is the best place for online casino gambling news as these developments continue.

Social casinos are available and legal in Delaware, too, both on the internet or as an app, and feature all the popular casino games, including slots, blackjack, video poker and roulette. It is free to play. While you cannot win money playing games at social casinos, the sites like WinStar, LuckyLand and Chumba casino typically offer sweepstakes (games of chance) with prizes that can include real money jackpots.

Online Poker in Delaware

Waiting on Offers

Real-money online poker is legal in Delaware, giving players another gaming option in addition to iCasinos.

Once online poker players sign up, they have one of the most robust list of options of anywhere. Delaware is part of a player-pooling compact with New Jersey and Nevada, which allows Delaware poker players to compete against people located in the other two jurisdictions. An even larger player pool is possible if neighboring Pennsylvania joins the compact.

Like the state’s online casinos, there are three internet poker sites overseen by the state lottery and individually affiliated with one of the three casinos. All three are run by the 888 platform, one of the global leaders for online poker.

Delaware was one of the earliest adopters of internet poker.

Online Sports Betting in Delaware

Not Legal

Delaware was the second state to take a legal sports bet and the first to do so after the Supreme Court struck down the federal ban on wagering in 2018. While it continues to take in-person bets at three licensed facilities, Delaware online sports betting is still not available.

Delaware’s NFL parlay card game was one of the few sports betting options exempted by the federal ban. Lawmakers took the limited exemption and quickly used the existing regulatory framework to advance far more robust sports betting options at the three casinos.

In June 2018 Delaware leapfrogged New Jersey for the first legal sports bet. This happened even though New Jersey had led the legal challenge that overturned the federal ban. The Delaware casinos now combine for several million dollars of sports betting handle each month.

Unfortunately for gamblers in Delaware, there are no online options – and no immediate plans to expand the restrictions to brick-and-mortar facilities. Continue to follow Gambling.com for the latest updates on online sports betting in Delaware.

Daily Fantasy Sports in Delaware

Offers available

Daily fantasy sports are legal in Delaware, which shouldn’t come as a surprise to players familiar with the state’s robust array of other gaming options. Top DFS sites such as Draftkings and FanDuel are easily available to eligible players.

Delaware was among an early wave of states to formally legalize DFS. Officials had earlier ruled the games ran afoul of state law, so legislators decided to change the statutes to allow them to continue to operate.

Delaware DFS players now can play the games without any legal concerns.
